Todoroki Shoto - Silent Smiles

Quirk: Red Ice. You produce ice, but it's in the color of red. Downside is you get frost bit if you use it too much!

"Wow, she has ice? Is she related to Todoroki?!" All eyes in class 1A turned this "Todoroki" person. He was a Heterochromia with a blue and gray eye, and red and white hair.

'Weird.

' you thought. The male simply shook his head. "Not that I'm aware. If she was, I'm sure Endeavour would have told me." Endeavour? Right, he was a Todoroki. Interesting. You cast a small smile to Todoroki, in which his eyes widened slightly. He looked away.

"Alright, enough idle chatter, take a seat Simara." Mr Aizawa said from behind you. Simply nodding you took your seat towards the back of the classroom.

Y/N Simara. Child of the Simara Freezing Heroes, both who have retired due to- issues. You had inherited their quirk, only in red rather than the classic teal ice. You had spaced most of class, only to be snapped out of your thoughts as Aizawa dismissed class for lunch.

You had been offered to sit with the "Dekusquad", which consisted of Midoriya, Iida, Todoroki, Tsuyu, and Ochako. You somehow ended up next to Todoroki, though you didn't mind. As you unpacked lunch, you began friendly chatter with them.

"So, Simara-" You cut Midoriya off. "It's Y/N, please don't use my last name." You chuckled. You never were into formalities. "S-s-sorry! Anyways, how does your quirk work? Which body part do you use most often in combat? Do you need to touch something to active it? I mean I imagine.." He broke off into mumbling, you staring awkwardly at him. "Ehm.."

"Midoriya. You're doing it again." Your head turned to see Todoroki had spoke, snapping Midoriya from his mumble jumble. "Right! Sorry. I guess I should've slowed down."

You all laughed, apart from Todoroki. You looked at him and he returned the glance, and you smiled yet again. His head quickly averted back to his food.

'Why does he keep looking away? Do I look weird when I smile? Meh, maybe he just doesn't like being smiled at?'

You thought, your head tilting before you began to finish your lunch.

Iida did a weird hand chopping motion. "Please classmates, finish your lunch quickly. It is almost time for class!" "But.. we got like 20 minutes." You stated.

"A true hero is always early, never late!" He exclaimed, chopping the air yet again. "Okay, okay, we'll hurry!" Ochako said in a sing-song voice. She was so airy and cheerful. Wish you could always be like that. Smiling to yourself, you looked to Todoroki. His eyes were still on the table, him eating in silence.

"So, Todoroki, what's your quirk?" You chirped, snapping him from his daze.

"Fire and Ice.." He said quietly, his hand averting up to the scar on his eye. Your head tilted curiously, and you noticed that the other 4 had gone silent. Presuming you hit a sensitive subject, you decided to change it.

"Well, what's your favorite subject?" You asked yet again. He shrugged. "I don't really have a favorite." You sighed, realizing it would be hard to get him to open up. Then an idea popped in your head.

You would make it your goal to see the boy smile.

Two months had passed in UA, and your strength had increased much. Plus, you and Shoto Todoroki were on a comfortable first name basis. Only one problem. That boy still hadn't smiled, only small, second long smiles. It frustrated you beyond belief.

You met Shoto outside UA gates, smiling at him. "Hey Shoto, wanna walk home together?" You asked, your head tilting. The breeze was comfortable as he nodded. "Yes, I would like to." Smiling you both began to walk down the road.

"So, Shoto, where do you live?" You asked, staring at him. you had recently come to think of him- well, handsome. Handsome in appearance, golden personality. He was quite caring even though he was quiet.

"Down town. Small house." He shrugged, seeming bothered. That bothered you. "Shoto, whats wrong?"

"Something on my mind.. Y/N? Can I ask something?" He stared at you.

"Sure!" You nodded. "W-well, how would you confess to someone? Like, feelings?" He froze. "E-eh?!" Shoto Todoroki sighed. "I have feelings for someone, but I can't figure how to tell them.

"W-well, maybe just be straightforward and say it, say what you like about them." He nodded. "Okay.. well then.." He stopped and turned towards you.

"Y/N, you are the most beautiful person I've ever met." Your mind went blank. What was he doing?! "I love how you're always so cheerful, so helpful, your determination, everything. So.. would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"I-i-.. S-shoto! I-i'd love to!" Was all you could say, your smile growing as your arms wrapped around his neck. Shoto's arms darted around your body in a hug, and for the first time you'd seen.. He was smiling. A genuine smile. "I love you.. so much.. Thank you, Y/N." "I love you too, Shoto!"

Well, I guess Silent Smiles can pay off..
