It was a long day at work for Hiruzen Sarutobi, he had a lot of Ill people and surgry's, he loves his job helping people. He stopped when he heard crying at the park. he followed it what he saw Surprised him, it was a kid he knew this kid he helped birth it and tried to help his mother survive.
He looked at the kid and saw he was bleeding and brused up. he went over to the kid.
" Whats wrong son?" he asked the boy jumped but said nothing his eyes where dead he felt bad for this boy.
" Hey it's okay I won't hurt you I promise I'm a good Guy, so tell me whats your name?" of course he knew his name but he didn't want to sound like a creep and say it.
The boy said nothing. Hiruzen sat downin front of him and smiled softly.
" hey how about we play a game you don't have to talk but what you can do it nod once for yes and shake your head twice for no, it that okay?" the boy nodded
" Okay did someone hurt you."

" do you want to go home"

" hmm did you lose someone important to you?"
sad nod
" hey it's okay how old are you?" he held up his hands and should him seven fingers
" hey are you hungery?"

Hiruzen got up and picked up the boy, he was surprised but soon relaxed in his arms, all Hirunze could think of was...

He got to his place and looked at the boy who was now asleep.

They went inside his home and Hiruzen place the boy on the couch, and went to change his clothes and grabbed a shirt for the kid. Once he was done he came out of his room and went to wake up the boy.
" Hey wake up" the boy sturd and woke up
" Come before we eat your gonna take a bath"

They walked to the bathroom and Hiruzen help the boy undress, and helped him in the tub. there where marks and bruises all over his body even cuts. This made Hiruzen sigh. he helped the boy wash himself getting the blood and dirt off.
Hiruzen went to get bandages and medican and the shirt for the boy. He came back and got the boy out of the tub.He dride him off.
" Now look at you all clean and shinny." he said and for the first time he saw the kid smile he put bandage on his cuts and gave him medican. he helped the kid in the shirt.
" Now I'm going to go make some food... how about my favorite roman?" there was a huge smile on the kid when Hiruzen said that and nodded fastly.
"oh your a roman lover to"

"well than lets get cooking" he went to the kitchen with the tiny boy following him and started to make some roman. once he was done he set the bowls out and watch in awe as the boys face went all happy.
" Tabemono o arigatō ( thanks for the food)." Hiruzen said
" T-T-Tabemolo o a-a-arigeilatō." the boy said but it came out wrong, Hiruzen smiled
" So your talking now"

" No but you just tried to say thanks for the food?"

" Will you at least tell me your name?" Hiruzen said

" N-N-Naruto... N-Naruto H-Huzumaki" Naruto said Hiruzen chuckled
"You mean Uzumaki?"
Nod
" Can I asked you something"
Nod
" Your dad does this to you right he's the one that beats you?" Naruto Hesitated
Nod
" I knew your parents I helped then birth you." Naruto's head shot up
" you look like your father but you have more of your mother in you." Hiruzen said
" M-M-Mommy w-was s-sick but d-dadda says she d-died of m-me." Naruto said sadly
" No you mom didn't die because of you she was sick very sick and she loved you so much"
" W-Wealy m-m-mommy woves me."
"Yes she does."
'He's seven and can't speak properly. Does he even go to school?' thought Hiruzen
" Naruto do you go to school?"

" No... hmmm how about I teach you some school basic things."

'He only talks for a little while and then stops'
This Concerned Hiruzen
" Okay lets eat shall we."

Naruto was sluping down the roman like crazy, he had a huge smile on his face he was so happy right now because he made a new friend, someone who knows his mom, someone who is taking care for him, showing him love.
Once they where done Naruto yawned
" Me sweepy... d-dadda gonna get mad." He said with tears in his eyes
" No don't worry you can stay here, like I said I know you Dad."

"Otay" Naruto said
Every day when Naruto was done getting beat by his dad he would go to the park and wait Until Hiruzen was done getting off of work, Hiruzen would always pick him up and take him back to his place to get him cleaned up and fed.
They became close like father and son. But Hiruzen never thought of Naruto as his son more like his grandson, he loved Naruto and Naruto loved him. Naruto got used to Hiruzen and would talk more but it still sounded babyish
" I wove you Grandpa"
