Part 20- A rebound?

Noah's POV:

My heart was racing. This was all my fault,why would I post on my open facebook that I was coming home? These boys are dangerous and not only is it me who is unsafe, so is Lily. I could feel Lily's soft breath hitting my arm and it made me stay calm. To say I'm hurt by Lily is an understatement but in reality I was just as bad, I know it's going to take a lot for us to move on because 'forgetting about it' isn't as easy as it might seem.

"He's got to be here somewhere." I hear my evil stepbrother shout to his bitches. That's when I hear the gunshots.

"We will just shoot him out of his little hiding spot. Never knew Noah to be a pansy especially considering the dodgy work he used to do." My other stepbrother called out. Oh god.

"Noah,what are they talking about?" Lily whispers.

"I'll tell you another day baby,just stay calm." I stroke her hair and nuzzle my head into her neck. It was then I realised if I don't show myself and go and try and be civilised with them then they could shoot Lily and I just can't let that happen.

"Lily, I have to go talk to them."

"No,Noah it' too dangerous." A tear rolls down her delicate cheek and I take her hands to mine and kiss them carefully and make my way out of the cupboard.

I walk down the stairs at the pace of a snail. Justin comes into sight and a wave of confidence rushes over me.

"Hey bro whats up?" I ask casually.

"Do you have the money Noah?"

"Well,no exactly but..." He aims his gun at my leg and shoots abruptly.

"Make sure you have it before our next visit!" He glares as I clutch my leg in agony. The blood streams onto the floor.

Lily's POV:

A gunshot is fired. I don't even care about my own safety anymore I need to check on Noah. I run down the stairs to come face to face with Justin and Cole.

"Oh if it isn't Noah's little bitch." Justin sneers.

"Bitch? Take that back." I glare at him.

"You're a very brave girl considering I'm stood here with a gun." Cole raises his eyebrows. Then my eyes land on Noah and I run to his side.

"You're monsters." I scream at Noah's twits of brothers.

"He knew the rules and now he has to pay, goodbye sweetcheeks." Justin tries to kiss my cheek but I slap him away. "You'll regret that Parker." He shoots me daggers and they all file out of the house.

Within 10 minutes the police and ambulance turn up. I give them all the details of what happened and then they take Noah away in the ambulance. I wait at home to call Marcus and mum.

"Mum,come home now!" I cry hysterically down the phone.

"Okay Baby,stay calm."

It turns out they came home early from Turkey too and they were having lunch at the restuarant down the road.

"What's happened?" Marcus panicks as I open the backdoor of the car and make them drive to the hospital.

"Justin and Cole. Noah was..shot." I say whilst trying to catch my breath. Marcus puts his foot on the pedal and we get to the hospital rather quickly.

Marcus gives the receptionist all of the details. "Room 101" She says, bored. We run up there and Noah is having a stare down with his doctor.

"Doctor I need to sort my hair out." He pleads.
