Chapter 4: The Unusable Weapon

Blue: Lightning!

A bolt of lightning shooting out of Blue's finger pierced through 3 ogres as they fell, a hole replacing their heart as he looked over at the other two holding off an Ogre by themselves. His mind wasn't racing but he seemed to pant as he tried his hardest to try and keep himself from using anything stronger. 

Blue: Magic Arrow!

A purple arrow sprung forth from his out reached palm as he picked up Oro and pushed him back. 

Blue: We are surrounded, we need to retreat!

Hateh(Ha-teh): We can't, as you've said they have us surrounded!

Blue cursed himself internally as he began to look for an escape route. 

Blue: Shock wave!

Blue yelled out as a wave of invisible force sent back the Ogres and his party members, knocking out Oro the Paladin. Blue rushed over as he saw the others barely stay awake, admittedly he had put more power into it as he held his dagger and stayed close.

Hateh: A Mage with a dagger and no scepter, you’re one weird mage.

Hateh let out before ruining his new leather armor as he coughed up blood. He passed out next to Oro. Blue looked behind him as he saw that Vlea was still awake and trying to fight still. He wondered why Vlea the ranger hadn’t noticed the Ogres before or why she withstood that and the others hadn’t. He huffed as he looked around at the Ogres looking for a way to get out of this situation without standing out too much. 

Blue: Vlea, take them back out of the forest, i'll try to buy you guys time.

Vlea: Cain, I know you're strong but I can't leave you alone!

Blue: Vlea, go. You guys are a dead weight anyway.

Blue replied as he smirked to the only female in the party, trying to sound cool. She rolled her eyes and began to carry the others to safety as she was a very strong barbarian. As they disappeared into the forest Blue let out a good sigh as he looked at the Ogres and shook his head. 

Blue: Why were there twenty of you in a group? Why did you all use goblins as scouts? How are you all getting smarter anyway?

He seemed to be talking to himself as they charged to attack the smaller target. He disappeared and in the blink of an eye he reappeared as the Ogres fell to the ground dead. He began to look at their blood and slather it on himself as he wanted to look beaten.

Demiurge: Lord Blue, the weapon is ready.

Blue: Woah what the fuck?!

Blue looked around confused, as if looking for Demiurge.

Blue: Oh wait, forgot Message was a thing, Hello Demiurge.

Demiurge: I have finished the weapon you had asked me to create for you.

Blue: Fucking great, im so glad you were able to make a gun.

Demiurge: I did make some improvements to the design you gave me.

Blue: I'm glad you caught my mistakes.

Blue said trying to still seem like a respectable Lord over Demiurge, who was smarter than Blue. He had given Demiurge a very shitty drawing of a gun but had explained how the weapon worked.

Demiurge: I knew you had tested me with those flaws.

Blue: You continue to surprise me, I will go to pick it up Demiurge, my thanks.

Demiurge: It is an honor to be of use my Lord.

Blue: Alright, continue the task Momonga, I mean Ainz told you to do.
