Plot Twist: The Final Chapter

Kailey's POV

It's been two and a half weeks since Maria and I came home. Niall and I have been Skyping everyday sice we left and things seem to be going really well between us. Well except... He's been acting a little strange the past week or so. We were in the middle of a video call a few days ago when Louis walked in asking about how Niall's day with Katie was and he hung up really fast. I asked Katie what was up and she just shrugged it off saying that there was nothing going on. I had forgotten about that day until now but I thought of it because Niall hasn't texted or called me back all day. I have school tomorrow so I go to bed even though I haven't talked to Niall...

The Next Day

I wake up and get ready for school just like everyday but for some reason this morning feels... different.  It's dark outside still because of the dark clouds that are spewing rain. I walk to the bus stop atill not sure why I feel so off today. I stick my earbuds in and put Rock Me on full blast and try to shake whatever's bugging me. I manage to doze off but my peacefullness was short lived. As soon as we got to school I saw three big news vans outside, not like local news though. There was a magazine van, an MTV van and another that I didn't recognize. 

Ugh. I thought people got over the fact that I was dating Niall, I thought to myself. 

When I got off the bus, several reporters swarmed me. I couldn't really understand anything except for one thing that stood out. 

I heard a woma say, "Kailey how are you handling the fact that Niall cheated with one of your best friends?"

I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Excuse me??" I asked on the verge of either crying or screaming.

She handed me a magazine from London and on the cover was a huge picture, clear as day, of Niall kissing Katie on the cheek while holding her hand. The tears are starting to fall down my face.

"You didn't know?" The woman asked.

"Uhm... No," I managed to get out without full on sobbing.

"Oh, gosh. I'm sorry hun. Do you think this is gonna be the end of Nialey?"

I just looked at her in utter shock. 

My boyfriend cheated on me... Niall cheated on me... With Katie...

I can't even breathe right now. I push and shove my way through the crowd of people and run to the first bathroom I come across.

"Get the hell out!" I screamed at the three girls sitting in there talking. 

They all looked at me in disgust but retreated as soon as they saw the look on my face. I locked the door and whipped out my phone. The first thing I did was text Niall.

Message To: Nialler My Sexy Beast of a Boyfriend

We're done.

*Message Sent*

Plain and simple. I also made a mental note to change the name in my contacts. Then I called my mom.

"Mommy?" I said when she answered.

"What Kailey? I'm at work!"

"I need to come home," I said in between sobs.

"Why? What's wrong???"

"Niall cheated on me... with Katie."

"I'm on my way hun."
