We sat in silence until we got to my house.

"Jess where are we going to go on this great American road trip?" I asked.

"Where ever you want." He smiled as we pulled into the driveway.

"Okay, I want to go to Nashville." I thought of music road of hearing guitar and original songs

pour out of every open door.

"Ok, fire." He leaned over and kissed me. "but after that, we're going to New York."

"Cool with me." I ran into the house to pack my stuff.

We got into the house and I rushed into mine and Rory's room.

I grabbed my largest canvas bag and placed in it, five notebooks two blank, two song notebooks

and the last my journal that I had kept since my first day of middle school. The notebook had

pink and purple unicorns on it the glitter background was a light shade of blue.

I turn to see Jess leaning against my door frame smirking. "You want to help me?" I asked as less

of a question but more of a 'take this to the car for me'.

"Is that even a question?" He knew me far too well.

I packed up my clothes and I may or may not have stolen a few of Rory's shirts. Jess came back

and I handed him another load. "Do we have room for my guitar?" I asked Jess just before he left

 the room.

"Of course, I may have to sleep on the roof but we'll have room." I rolled my eyes.

"You are not sleeping on the roof." I said pressing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Good to know." He smiled.

The smile was wiped off his face as I reached up and grabbed all seven Harry Potter books and

put them in my dark blue backpack.

"I said that we had room for the essentials, not the fictional version of War and Peace."

"They are my favorite books and you need to read them." I retorted moving from my backpack to my guitar case.

"It's a kid's book about magic."

I turned in anger a look of pure shock on my face. "How dare you say that a tale of growing up and tragedy  a kid's book."

"It's a story of kids in a magic school."

"Go take my stuff to the car my keys are on the desk. I pointed to the desk that sat next to the door.

"Yes ma'am." He said taking my backpack with a smirk.

After about fifteen minutes of packing, we left. We got in the car (After stealing the last couple

pop tarts) and drove into the star-speckled darkness.
