Chapter 1: The crime committed

Ryan Wolfe had been part of Miami Dade crime lab for five years. He always arrived early and left late. Which got him into a lot of trouble with Horatio Caine.

Calleigh and Eric had not always liked Ryan but now days they seemed to be the best of friends.

Walter and Jesse were new to the team, everyone loved them. But they kept mostly to themselves. Not, those two plus Ryan were like the lab stooges.

While Natalia was the teams DNA specialist.

The man looked through the glass window to see a young boy and a mum talking, perfect he thought to himself. He watched as the boy and the mum washed the dishes and an evil grin surfaced on his face.

"Yea ok good night" Sam called out as his mum walked up the stairs. He slumped on the couch unaware that he was being watched. Unaware that he was very soon about to die. He turned on the tv to see if anything good was on but found nothing. Sam was about to get up to walk to bed as he was pretty tired when someone jumped out and hit the kid over the head with the bat, he gagged the boys mouth so only he heard the scream, he brought out his knife stabbed the knife into the boys shoulder. The boy screamed in pain. The scream was satisfying but not enough. He loved to her his victims cry, cry for mercy. He cut down the boys arm. The boy cried out louder "Oh this is really fun you know Sam you make it so fun" The man smiled evilly. He took the knife out of the boys arm and stabbed him in the chest over and over again. He was a cold blooded killer. "Well that was fun but I really need to get going" With that the man took off towards the door and left without another word. This was his forth victim and there was no way he was going to stop he knew the Miami Dade crime lab where looking into his murders but he felt confident he would never be caught. He had to wo3rk he had to plan for the next victim.

Walter and Jesse had been working non stop for the past two weeks the cases seem to get more violent as they go along. They were working on the 4th this month. "If there are anymore of these cases I think I am going to be sick" Walter sighed. Ryan and Natalia walked in a few minutes after. "Hey Jesse, Hey Walter anything" Ryan asked tiredly. They had all been working hard with this case but Ryan had worked the hardest. "No, nothing these no usable trace no DNA on anything and to make matters worse this is the 4th" Jesse replied.

Horatio was working on paperwork when a nice surprise came into the office. "Stetler what can I help you with" Stetler looked up from all the files he had in his hand. "Horatio, you know how long you have worked on this case, don't you?" Horatio sighed "Yes Rick a month" Stetler seemed happy with the answer "Well I think it is time you and the team pass the investigation to the FBI" Horatio got out of his chair. "Rick this is my case, my investigation, we will get a break through soon" Before Rick could continue Ryan came in. "Sorry to interrupt but this is important I might have found a lead" Horatio smiled Thank you Ryan. Ryan, Horatio and Rick walked to trace to find Walter and Jesse around the computer. "This is great Ryan" Walter said enthusiastically "What have we found Ryan" Horatio asked. "Well it is a sort of soil" Before he could say anymore Rick cut him off "Great soil really, how is that helpful if you ask me Horatio I think you guys have been working these cases to long."

Sarah had woken bright and early, but something didn't seem right something was defiantly out of place. she looked over to see what the time was but to her surprise the clock had been turned off. She got out of bead to get her breakfast and a cup of coffee when she saw something out of the corner of her eye, is that blood. She ran over to see her son laying on the couch covered in her own blood. "Oh my god Sam, my baby" she cried as she stumbled over to the phone.

It was bright and early when Ryan's pager went off he got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to have a shower, something wasn't right everything was out of place Damn it, I don't have enough time to clean He had a quick shower grabbed something to eat and left to go to work. Someone was watching him through the bushes at the side of his apartment grinning evilly That worked too well he thought to himself he was going to have so much fun.

Ryan walked into the CSI building to see Eric, Jesse, Natalia and Walter already there. "Why did we have to come in so early today? I didn't even have time to get my coffee." Jesse complained. Eric shrugged "I don't know Jesse, Hey Ryan you look like a bus hit you, you feeling alright." Ryan looked up "yea I'm fine Eric lets just focus on the case in hand" as if on cue Horatio came around the corner "alright call out and brace yourself this is not pretty" everyone groaned "this makes 5"

"What have we got Tom" Horatio asked as he always does " TOD about 11:30 and COD is stabbing to the chest punctured a Lung and died instantly after the first three stab wounds, dear god he has lines around his mouth indicating he was gagged" as they moved the boy out Natalia and Jesse talked to the mum.

"did anyone have a grudge against your son" Natalia asked she sometimes hated her job. "what no Sam he always helped people, he was such a darling I can't think of anyone" Jesse nodded his head "ok we will keep you informed about your sons case"

Ryan and Eric were left to take a look at the crime scene. Little did they know someone was watching someone was getting ready to ponce.
