One last chance

Horatio and Calleigh were on a mission. Questions needed answering and only one person could answer these was Rick Stetler. Of all people Rick was one of the people Horatio really didn't want to talk to but it had to be done.

Horatio and Calleigh walked towards Rick who was talking to another IA officer named Nathan Fredrick. "Rick. Can we speak to you please" Rick turned to see Horatio and Calleigh walking up to him. "Horatio i'm kind of busy right now."

Horatio could tell he was not very happy. The IA officer could tell they wanted a private word with Rick so cleared off.

Rick, Calleigh and Horatio walked into Rick's office. "What can I help you with Horatio, I am kind of busy today" Horatio looked up to Rick.

"well you could explain to us what you did to a Mark Logan to make him do what he is doing." Ricks expression changed he had hoped it was not Mark but deep Down he figured it would be him.

Mark brother was a member of mob that had been in a gun fight with the FBI and the IA, Stetler had been the one that shot Liam Logan.

Ever since Mark had been trying to get back. He had saw how Rick had been acting towards Ryan. Mark also wanted to get Horatio to after all he had arrested his dad and his dad died in prison.

Mark hated the law, he wanted them to pay and he saw how Eric was Horatio's favorite.

Of course he was only going to kill one and it was going to hurt Rick more no matter what.

Rick now had two enraged CSIs in his face about what happened over three years ago.

Rick had no way out of telling them, they needed to know they deserved to know.

Jesse and Walter were going through Mark and Ricks folders. Something wasn't adding up, something was wrong.

Mark and Rick had never crossed paths. Jesse rang Horatio. "H, it's Jesse here, yea something's not right he must have changed his name or something." Walter stood still looking at Jesse lost in his thoughts. Maybe Jesse was right.

"yea ok H I will get right onto it." Walter stood there waiting for information. "so" but instead Jesse walked out.

Jesse walked into the lab that Natalia was hard at work in. "Natalia, H wants you to run this against someone called William Dugandic."

Jesse knew that name so Did Natalia. "Jesse, that's a member of the FBI, James's brother" Jesse looked at the folder in his hand. "then he has some explaining to do, I will see if Dave can track him down.

They had found William but it was a dead end everything added up. "That was a complete waste of time" Walter said annoyed.

"I guess we are on square one again" Calleigh sighed. Jesse and Natalia suddenly had a thought. "maybe not there is a guy at the FBI, he is an expert at finger prints and blood samples" Horatio looked up from his folder he was holding suddenly interested "I could see if he can come and help, after all he owes me"

Horatio nodded slightly happy."that could be good, see if he will help out, something is telling me we don't have long left" Frank nodded "not long at all"

Natalia and Jesse had been in the FBI so she thought they could use some help. She could call in a favor on her young friend Mathew.

He was more then happy to help and a fresh pair of eyes would be good to have. Natalia and Jesse introduced Mathew to Horatio and was put in with Natalia to help see if they could get anything with the blood.

Mathew and Natalia got to work straight away. At first Mathew was unsure if he could do anything.

"Who's missing anyway" Natalia looked at him cold "friends from the lab Eric Delko and Ryan Wolfe you won't know them. With that Mathew nodded and went to work trying to find anything that would help find them.

Mathew had been working on the blood for hours with no break through until something caught his eye that was in the blood. "Natalia I found something that could help us" Natalia run to Mathews side. "what have you got" Mathew took his tweezes from his kit and grabs a sticky red substance.

"this, I'll get it to trace" Natalia looked at the sticky substance and smiled "no need I know where he is" as she walked towards Horatio's office. Mathew watched as she left slightly pleased. He wanted to get Ryan back more then anything, more then they knew.

"Horatio I have something that could help, I would not have found it if it was not for Mathew, anyway guess what the killer left behind."
