Like a Slaughter

Dear God, I hate to bother you, but don't you think you should help us down here?

Your creations are starting to rebel out of fear.

Fear that the people you made in your image are clawing at each others neck.

Well how many more lives you gonna wreck?

I think my actions were a bit hasty, but  someone needs to go and take a stand.

From this psychopathic murderous fool.

The fools from your little black book are dying in the sand.

Those over-zealous creations who created you.

Hey God just want to tell you, I think we could do it better than you.

Us silly humans have free will, you gave us it.

We've evolved past the need of a tool like you.

Put aside our differences for a bit.

I just cant perceive an afterlife, an eternal land, when there's so much strife.

This heaven you made to keep us in. Just as long as we don't sin.

Do what we're told till our bodies get old.

A land we seek to live in peace.  It's just a fable that you released.

The older gents. wrote in a book, but forgot to mention that you're a crook.

If you want me to believe then show me some goddamned reprieve.

That's what I thought not a fucking word. Just the baa's from the sheep you herd.

Saints and sinners divided now. It's just a way we keep our brothers down.

I don't need you to be a good man. Don't need you or a divine plan.

My God, this is the last time I talk to you.

No need for a symbiotic shrew.

All the people in this world are realizing that book ain't true.

They're moving on and so should you.
