Mia is a girl with a lot of secrets. For example, everyone in her school thinks she's a bitch because every time some one tries to talk to her she either just ignores them or is rude, but no one except herself knows why. She has friends, many of them in fact, but the thing is they live half way across the world and they're famous so she doesn't want any one to know so she keeps to herself.
Mia and Nessa grew up together. They met when they were 4 and 6. They helped each other with everything and they went through everything together too even if they weren't there in person they both have the same mental problems depression anxiety and bipolar personality disorder. When Nessa moved, Mia was devastated even though they still talked regularly. Mia was there for her when she was getting hate online, when she was gaining followers and before Nessa gained followers. When Mia realised this was bound to happen when her and josh went public, Mia made the decision to ask Nessa to take down all of her posts of her and never post her or mention her so she wouldn't get followers. She chose to do this because she saw what fame did to people, and with everything she had already gone through, she wasn't ready for anything else so she stayed private and kept to herself.
Nessa had told all of the sway boys about Mia every time she visited. When Nessa was questioned about why she never posted about Mia, she told the boys of Mia's decision. She added to what she said by mentioning that most of the time when she was upset because of people online, she would call Mia and this just strengthened her decision. The boys respected her choice and eventually met them over face time when they walked in on Ness on the phone to Mia which caused Mia to grow close to them. She had eventually met everyone and they all got close even though she never met them in person and they all wanted to meet her and it took some time but they finally did.
