"I'm sorry but we can't accept you in our company" the man in a black suit said to the lady who's sitting in front of him.

"But you haven't read any of my stories yet. Can't you just read a little bit of pages before making a final decision. My stories are going to be a big hit! I promise you!" Nahrie, which is the name of the lady; said, trying to pursue the man

"I'm sorry but your resume didn't pass the standards of the company" the man explained ready to leave

"Is it because I'm an ex convict?" Nahrie said, staring at her resume

"If the people finds out that one of our writers was once put behind bars, then the company's reputation will highly be affected. I hope you understand Miss Auxilio"

Nahrie look at the man in a suit and stand up from her chair. She composed herself for a second and pick up her resume

"Of course, I understand. I understand that your company is not willing to give people another chance to change Mr. Dolls" Nahrie said releasing a force smile in her face and walk out of the room.

After leaving the building, Nahrie couldn't hold it in anymore and just cried it all out. In her mind, she wondered if the universe would still give her another chance to redeem herself, to redeem her true identity. Right after she finished crying, she look at the wide blue sky and prayed to God.

She wants her mind to be at peace, she wandered in every place that she passed by and found herself lost at the beauty of vast ocean. She walk closer towards it and took a sit in the shore. Every waves from the ocean flashes back memories that she desperately want to forget. The reason why she was thrown in jail, the non stop mumbling and unfamiliar gazes from people around her as if she's the worst human they'd ever seen, the eyes filled with doubts when she starts talking about the words of God as if they're telling her that she's no longer a child of Jesus Christ. All of these flashes back one by one as every single waves struck the shore.

Once again, she lost her way, she find it hard to decide whether she should pursue a writing job or find another job.

"Please, God, make the waves say something positive to me" she whispered to herself and embrace herself.

A few moments later, a lady sat beside her and start a conversation in British accent. Unknowingly, Nahrie felt comfortable talking around the stranger as if she's found herself a home. She opened up her story as well as her worries to the lady, even though its their first time meeting each other. In mind, she knew that the lady might be just another person who will judge her. But in her surprise, the lady smiled at her kindly, looking at her without any eyes of judgment.

"Deuteronomy 31:6 'Be strong and steadfast, have no fear or dread of them, for it is the Lord, your God who marches with you; he will never fail you or forsake you'. That is my favorite verse in the bible" the lady said looking closely at Nahrie's eyes

"That means that you don't need to mind what other people say. All you have to do is to focus your eyes towards the direction that God already sets for you. Does that makes sense to you?" the lady added and give Nahrie the sweetest smile that the world forgot to give her.

"Absolutely. Thank you for your words. May I ask what your name is? I'm Nahrie by the way" Nahrie said and waited for the lady to answer

"Waves, we have to go" A lady from behind called out the lady who's sitting beside Nahrie.

"My name is Waverly. You can call me Waves" the lady said and bid good bye

3 years passes by and

"Waves, what are you looking at?" her best friend, Nicole, asked while hugging her waist from behind.

"Nothing, I just got caught up by this book. 'Along the Waves'" Waverly in her British accent said looking back and forth at the cover page of the book.

"Hey look, it has your favorite verse" Nicole said pointing the typed verse Deuteronomy 31:6

" I remember the time you said that you stumble upon this verse when you tried to decide whether you should continue to audition as the sister's cast in a show. You said that you almost gave up at that time but now look at you, having lot of fans around the world because of the show you're in" Nicole added looking so proud at her best friend

"That's right. If I hadn't read this verse back then, I don't think I'll be able to find my own kind of home. And I believe that she also find hers" Waverly said and smiled looking at the author's name that was written in the book.

"Nahrie Auxilio" she whispered and decided to buy the book.
