Different Path

Today was so perfect starting from watched movies, lunch, hanging out around Han river park, and enjoying night scenery but something seems off. Taeil felt it and wander what went wrong then he saw you smiling while looking the night scenery. And it's enough to wave away his worries. Your smile just enough to prove that everything is okay.

Taeil build his confidence and confessed his feeling "Hey, I like you." He said softly.

He knew, she already knew about his feelings and Taeil also knew her feelings. Taeil just want to make their relationship clear, he didn't want this "some" game. He wanted to make sure that you are his. Minutes passed by since his confession. You just looked straight still smiling looked so unbothered with his confession.

You can feel Taeil eyes on you, you can feel that Taeil waiting for your response.

"should we move? It's getting cold here." You said to Taeil.

Taeil was confused. Is it a game for you? Or you just simply didn't hear it?

"I like you." Taeil said and making sure that you heard him.

"I know, I like you too." You responded and smile to him

Taeil smiled. "So, today is our 1st day then?" you can see how much Taeil was happy yet nervous.

Then you smile sadly and shake your head "No, that won't work."

"What do you mean?"

"Taeil, we march to different path, you and I just not meant together."

Taeil furrowed his brows, not understand the situation.

You sighed and looked away; you don't want he saw your tears that already pooled in your eyes.

"Taeil, you know that you are precious person to me, and I know that your dreams required you to be focus and dating is prohibited especially, first year of your career is critical. People's eyes on you and your group. I don't want our relationship pulling you down. I don't want to be someone that burdening you and become hurdle for your dreams"

"What are you talking about?" he said and looking so confused.

"You know that once you get debut, you will be busy, and it means we will be less seeing each other. And then we'll get apart, there will misunderstanding, we will fight and, in the end, hurting each other." You said while tried to hold your tears.

"we won't, everything will be alright, we will be okay, right?" he said looking for affirmation.

You shake your head and said "You know what will happen to us. I like you and you like me, that's enough and today will be our last day seeing each other."

"What do you mean? I confessed because I know that my life will be nothing without you, I know we will fight and get apart and end up hurting each other but I know that we can overcome it. I believe in us. I believe in you. We can do this together." Taeil said and you can see that he tried to control his emotions. You can see his tear already pooling in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I can't. Please let me go." You said with tears falling to your cheeks.

"I can't let you go, how can I let you go when I'm in love with you? Please don't do this to me" Taeil said and grab my hands

"I'm sorry, I'm really sorry." You said and pushed Taeil hands away and left him alone.

You don't looked back. You keep walked away. It hurting you so much because you know that you also falling in love with him.

You are too afraid of being hurt in the relationship with him, you realized that you don't have confidence if you both starting your relationship. You hate yourself of being weak, but you also believe that's the best for everyone.

or at least you are succeed to protect your heart from heart broke.

Years passed by, you knew that Taeil will success, you are proud with his achievement. You cut your contact with him because its better for both of you to focus on career

Right now, you are standing in front of Taeil's birthday advertisement from his fans. You smiled and wished him happy birthday.

From your peripheral view you can see someone standing beside you and capture the advertisement from camera's phone, you turned your head and saw someone with hoodie, training pants, mask and cap.

He turned his head to see you. Both of you shocked and froze for a second.

You smile and nod your head. That person also do the same then you both walked away to opposite path.

"It was nice meeting you again." That thought resonate in your head. You turned around and saw his broad back.

Then you moved on.

Seconds later,

That person smiled and turned his head to saw your little figure fades from distance "it was nice meeting you." He thought.

Then he moved again to continue his journey.
