The Aeronaut and the bear whisperer

Chapter 1: Lee Scoresby

A/N: this will be my secondary story while i update my adopted one. Here we gooo

Lana's POV:

I met him at a bar in Trollesund. The Aeronaut had a cowboy hat and long coat, he was accompanied by a arctic hare daemon. The man seemed ruffled as he was literally tossed out those doors

"I think I made my point" the man spoke to his daemon who rolled her eyes

"And what point was that?" She asked grumbling

"Three watches and a wallet" the man grunted and looked up and saw Lana

"Hey miss" he said as he stood up grunting before he dusted himself off "ya saw that just now?"

I chuckled and nodded "yes i did" i said simply and looked at him "what on earth did you do to get tossed out?"

"He-" Hester the hare started

"Shut up Hester" The Aeronaut grumbled but chuckled "the name's Lee Scoresby and that's Hester" he introduced

I smile "hello, I'm Lana and this is my daemon Berow"

Berow was a fox with fur black as night and blue eyes. He nodded his head in a greeting as he looked at them "pleasure to meet you both" he said

"I come here searching for a old friend. A bear friend" Lee said as he looked at me "seen any?"

I hummed "bears huh? Well I'm good with bears- I've seen a few yes" I said not denying the truth.

He looked curious at my answer "know a Iorek?" He asked me with hope in his eyes

I flinched "what do you want with Iorek?" I ask not sure yet if this man was friend or foe yet.

"I'm an old friend of his- please...let me see him" Lee asked kindly, trying to use any methods now to see his old friend

I sigh and nod and eventually told him to meet me here at night. I would then sneak him to see Iorek's workshop. Iorek had been made drunk by seal catchers and they had stolen his armor

Iorek being an armored bear. Was immensely powerful when he had his armor. However without it he was empty, like a man without his daemon, without his soul

So at midnight I met Lee at the same spot we met "follow me" I said and led the way down to a back alleyway and to a small stall

There stood Iorek, a massive polar bear as he looked our way "Lana, and is that- Lee" he said looking over

"Its been a long time old friend" Lee spoke as he approached Iorek. Both getting immensely close to each other. Clearly Lee trusted Iorek to step so close to him like that.

Iorek nodded "indeed it has, i am no longer the same bear Lee, not without my armor" he said pawing at the ground with his massive paw. He looked a bit frustrated with himself

"Lee and I can help you recover your armor" i promised. Hoping Lee would agree to team up as that would honestly be the safest option.

He nodded "right stay close" Lee said to me and he and I left Iorek to find his armor. I looked at Lee as we walked along

"So what do you do? You said your an Aeronaut?" I asked

He nodded "yep, i flew here with my balloon, makes travel easier. However there's always a risk...I've gotten into trouble loads of times" he sighed

As we made way through town in search of his armor. Across town there was a girl, named Lyra. She who was of a great prophecy

Lyra, her fate would be intertwined with Lana and Lee's as each would soon find out when they'd all meet....
