It's a warm February night. A good time to celebrate Thanksgiving- no it isn't that time of the month, well it actually is, I'm on my period but it's Valentine's day. That, that mess up is exactly the reason why I'm on break. My job isn't to be taken lightly and that's beside the fact that it's situated in the rich side of town. I'm not just a waitress; I'm the waitress of Convoir- the most famous, extravagant restaurant in town. And with a job like mine, it needs seriousness, maturity and a precise precision, all the time.
Tonight is a busy night at work with the majority of customers celebrating the day of love. And from holding the anguish in from the cramping and the disgust of having to change pad after pad, I thought it was time for a breather. That's why I'm on a break from the bustling building and is instead, watching the noisy roads from above. The lights of shops and cars look like little beams in the darkness from the rooftop building. Somehow it's helping me find my ground level. Bringing me back to earth, gradually, with each deep inhale and exhale.
I really, truly want to be home and also cancel my monthly fee of ovulation. As much as I'm happy for it to be happening, I don't like it. I doubt that I will.
