Chapter 1: 🏐Kickball With A Volleyball🏐

Dot POV:

I picked up my phone after it had rung for 5 seconds. I said,"Dot Polka here, how can I help you?" I was surprised when I heard Bobby's voice on the other side. He asked,"Hey Dot! I was bored and I was wondering if you wanted to come over?" I thought for a while. He said,"Umm Dot... you still there?" I was snapped out my trance and said,"Oh um yeah I am here. I'll come over." He said,"Okay. I'll be by the door." I said,"Okay, bye!" I hung up and I think he said,"W-" I put on my spotty jacket and looked in the mirror. I said,"Hmm... I'll lose the jacket." I took it of and folded it. I put it down and looked in the mirror again. I smiled and noticed something was missing. I looked at my desk and saw my sapphire encrusted heart necklace my mom gave me the day before my parents got divorced. I put it on and I looked in the mirror for the third time. I said,"Third time lucky." I went through my house, sneaking past my dad's study. Then I snuck past my dad who was cooking in the kitchen. I was supposed to be reading but instead I was sneaking out. I exhaled loudly after I had closed the door. I walked to Bobby's house and before I could knock Bobby had opened the door and I knocked his nose. I said,"Oh sorry Bobby!" He rubbed his nose and said,"No problem, come in." He moved out the way and I entered. I looked around and saw dream catchers, meditation mats and many more things you'd expect Bobby the Elder to own. I looked in the kitchen and saw a woman wearing tea shade sunglasses, a rainbow dress and a forehead hairband. A man was sitting on a chair drinking Chai tea. He was wearing a pease necklace, he had long brown hair, a blue vest with a dove on the back, he had a pink shirt on with baggy blue jeans. The lady said,"Why hello Bobby! Who is your friend?" Bobby said,"This is Dot. I invited her over." The lady squealed and I jumped a bit. She said,"Our little boy is getting a girlfriend! It seems like it was just yesterday I was changing you out of diapers!" I sniggered and blushed a bit. Bobby took my hand and led my to his room. His hawk was probably trying to Tiny-nap Tiny because his hawk's bed was untouched and next to Bobby's. I took a seat on Bobby's bed and he took a seat next to me. I asked,"So why did you call me here?" Bobby said,"I was bored. I thought we could do something." I nodded. We thought for a while and Bobby suggested,"How about we plan something for everyone?" I said,"Yes! Bobby your a genius! How about we organize a pet brunch? Me and the other Harvey girls always talked about it and the one time we did it Lotta's room smelled like skunk for the next week..." Bobby laughed. He said,"What about a picnic of something like that?" I said,"I doubt we have a picnic mat that big... it is hot and we do have a lake. How about a day at the lake?" He said,"Yeah let's do it!" I smiled until I started to sneeze. A cat came into Bobby's room. I AM DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO CATS! I started to sneeze more and Bobby picked up his cat. He put it out his room and locked the door. I stopped sneezing and breathed in deeply. He said,"Let's go announce it. Their are at kickball field." I followed him. I started sneezing when we passed the cat. I stopped when we got closer to the kickball field. I noticed something was odd. I said,"Are they playing kickball with a volleyball?" Bobby shrugged and said,"Richie's dog broke the kickball." Suddenly me and Bobby got lifted into the air. I looked up and saw it was Lotta! I said,"Lotta! What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in Cincinnati." She put us down and said,"I am here on vacation. What are you doing?" I said,"An announcement." Lotta nodded and sat down on a bench watching from a far. Bobby stood in the middle of the field and said,"Hello everyone! We have an announcement!" "'We?'" Tiny pointed out. I came into the middle of the field. I said,"We are having a Harvey Street Lake Day!" Everyone was cheering except for Melvin. He said,"Boo! It sounds boring!" Audrey crossed her arms and went closer to him saying,"Oh stop being such a heckler Melvin." Melvin came closer to her crossing her arms. He said,"Oh please I am saying what we are all thinking." Audrey came closer copying what she did last time. She said,"Stop it!" Melvin came closer and copied her,"Stop it!" Their faces were really close to each other and they started growling at one another. I couldn't help but snicker. They obviously like each other. I said,"Umm... guys? Anyway the lake day is tomorrow. So get ready." Melvin and Audrey went away from each other and everyone left to their houses. I said,"Okay Bobby I'll see you tomorrow. Bye!" I went to my house sneaking past my dads. I went to my room and started to pack. Hey, don't judge I need to check, double check, triple check and quadruple check it for tomorrow.
