irl part: the winter ball.
Bellamy was on his way to pick up Clarke to go to the dance together, they weren't dates but decided to keep each other company. He got out of his car and rang the door bell. Clarke opened her door and immediately felt bellamy's eyes staring at her "let's go" she said walking outside and closing the door behind her. "Clarke, you uh...you look amazing" bellamy told her looking down "thanks! you don't look so bad yourself" she replied smiling at him. They got into the car and fell into a comfortable silence, it wasn't awkward even tho none of them spoke till they got to the dance. They got inside and saw all their friends there sat at a table in a corner of the very large room. "Clarke! you look so gorg!" Raven said hugging her even tho they saw eachother a few hours before that. Clarke then turned to say hi to everyone else and sat in a seat near Octavia. Bellamy sat next to Murphy, across from Clarke. They sat there talking for quite a bit before Octavia and Lincoln, Jasper and Maya and Monty and Harper got on the dance floor.
Only four of them remained sat, Clarke and Raven to one side and Murphy and Bellamy to the other. They tried talking randomly for a bit but it felt awkward, it was different from when they were all together. Bellamy felt himself stare into Clarke's blue eyes, she was looking at him confused "What?" the sound of her voice startled him "nothing i uh...actually, would you like to dance?" the words got out of his mouth without even thinking and he instantly regretted saying them but Clarke didn't seem to be thrown away by the suggestion, she just had an amused look in her eyes "why not!" she told him before getting up and walking away, Bellamy following her path.

"Well, that was awkward" was what Raven said as soon as Bellamy and Clarke left the table to go dance. Murphy chuckled before saying "yeah, well at least bellamy's finally making his move" avoiding Raven's gaze otherwise he knew he would stare at her. Raven got up and changed place to sit next to Murphy, taking her glass with her. She let out a long sigh which brought Murphy's attention to her "What?" he looked at her confused, she looked at him for a second before looking back at her friends and said "It's just...they look so...happy, you know" she looked back at him and saw his eyebrows furrow "Yeah..." he stopped talking for a sec but then continued "are you not happy?" his gaze still on hers, she looked down before saying "No i am i just-" she sighed again "for some reason i feel lonely, you know? I mean O and Lincoln are like couple goals, Maya and Jasper are so cute together, Harp and Monty are perfect for eachother and Clarke and Bell well, they...they're definitely made for eachother they just can't see it yet" still avoiding his gaze and looking at her friends she continued "I just don't think i'll ever find that...after everything that happened with Finn i don't know if i'll be able to trust again" she paused for a sec, still too scared to look at Murphy "I feel so broken inside" she said looking down, trying to stop the tears from falling. Murphy felt his heart break, he stayed unable to move for a while but then took Raven's hand from her lap before saying "You are not alone Raven, we're all here for you, I'm here for you...im aware it's not the same thing but, you're not alone" he paused, she was finally looking at him, tears in her eyes "look i don't know what happened with Finn and im not saying you should tell me but...maybe you should tell someone, Clarke or Octavia i don't know but i think it would left a weight off your shoulders" he let go of her hand before saying "Not everyone is like him, you know, you'll find someone" hopefully this someone will be me he thought "and for what it's worth, im alone too Ray, you're not the only single one here" he told her with a sad smile.
She felt some kind of warmth when he took her hand and immediately missed it when he let go. She just had time to say a little "thanks murphy" before their friends came back from the dance floor "Guys! why didn't you come dance with us? they put Bohemian Rhapsody!!" Jasper told them, definitely drunk, or at least tipsy.
