I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off at 7 am. I got up and made my way to my bathroom that was connected to my room. I walk in and turn the shower on so it can warm up. I get undressed and get my toothbrush and toothpaste. I get in the shower and put my toothbrush and toothpaste to my left near where my shampoo is. I let the hot water run down my back and i'm feeling sleepy. I quickly wash my hair and brush my teeth in the shower. I get out and get dressed in only jeans and a blue shirt. I comb through my wavy, light brown hair. My hair goes barely past my shoulders. I get downstairs and sit on the kitchen table. "Eat your breakfast so we can be going," My father said shoving some eggs into his mouth. I nodded. I was going to be dropped off at the train station but my father would be able to use the floo network to get to Hogwarts faster. We had to be at the train station before 11 and we lived 15 minutes away.
When we got to the train station it was already 9. My father navigated to me to 9 3/4. He told me all i had to do was rush through the wall and I'll be where I need to be. I was a little skeptical at first but once i ran in, everything felt unreal. There were parents saying goodbye to their children, people going in and out of buses, owls everywhere, it all felt magical. My father came in next and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead and a goodbye. We knew we were gonna see each other soon. I got on the train and sat in an empty compartment. I looked out the window and saw my dad waving. I waved back and then he disappeared in the crowd of moving people. I was very nervous since I knew no one abs I've never been on a train before. As more people started to walk in, I saw more faces and the compartments began filling up.

"Hi, could I sit with you?" asked a girl with brown bushy hair.

"Yes," I smiled at her and her returning it.

"My name's Hermione Granger," She said while putting her hand in front of her so I could shake it. I shook her hand and responded,

"My name is Soleil Snape." Her eyes got a little wide.

"You're Professor Snape's daughter?" She asked. I let out a small chuckle and nodded. "That's nice, you must know a lot about potions then."

"Yes, they're my favorite thing to study, I've been studying them for quite some time." Of course it was obvious that I have since my father was the potions teacher. Hermione and I chit chat for a while. Soon we both end up passing out on the train.

"Soleil....pssst..Soleil," I wake up to see a Hermione shaking me.

"What time is it?" I say groggily.

"I'm not sure, but I know we're near Hogwarts, you should get into your robes."

"Alright," I said stretching.

"I'm going to the ladies room, I'll be back in a minute." And like that, she was gone. I started to get changed into my robes which were all black since we haven't been sorted into our houses yet. I was very excited to see what house I get.
We get to Hogwarts and I step out of the train.

"Right then first years, this way please," I hear a voice yell. "Come on now first years don't be shy. Come on now hurry up." It sounded very familiar. I look at the person and its Hagrid. I go up to him to stand. "Hi there little lady, how's your father?" He asks me.

"He's doing good," I say with a smile. The boy who was with us came up and stood beside me.

"Hello Harry," Hagrid said looking down at Harry.

"Hi Hagrid," responded Harry, he was with a boy with red hair and freckles.

"woahh," said the red haired boy looking at Hagrid.

"All right then, this way to the boats, come on now follow me." said Hagrid. We all start walking behind him and stop once we get to the boats. The boats started filling up with first years. I got on a boat and saw that a boy with blonde hair followed and sat beside me. Then two other boys followed him. He looked at me and smiled and put his hand in front of me it shake.

"Hi, I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy," he said grinning. I shook his hand and smiled back.

"I'm Soleil, Soleil Snape," I said mimicking him. He let out a chuckle which made me chuckle.

"This is Crabble and Goyle," he said pointing at the boys behind us. I smile and wave and they do the same. "So what house do you want get sorted in?" Draco Said.

"I'm thinking of either Slytherin or Ravenclaw" I said. My mom was Ravenclaw and of course my dad is Slytherin. Draco smiles.

"We'll get along great I can tell." He says smiling.

We get to castle and all step out and go up the stairs to meet Professor McGonagall. She was a very thin lady with grey hair and green eyes. We all stand in front of her, waiting for her to say something. "Welcome to Hogwarts," she says smiling a little after every student was there. "In a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates but before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses." I was so excited, I needed to know what house I'll be sorted into. "They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin." When she said Slytherin, Draco turned to look at me and grinned. "Your house will be like your family...your triumphs will earn you points, any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup."

"TREVOR," yelled a boy. He rain up and picked up a frog from the floor earning laughs here and there. "sorry," muttered the boy to McGonagall.

"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily." Said McGonagall and turned and walked away.

"It's true then," said Draco. I turned to him to see what he was going to say. "what their saying in the train, Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts." Draco said with a slight smile, earning gasps from the crowd of students. "This is Crabble and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy." Walking up to Harry for the last part. The red haired boy laughed a little when he said that making Draco snap in his direction. "Think my names funny do you, don't need to ask yours, red hair and a hand me down robe, you must be a Weasley." The red haired boy turned to look at the ground looking sad. "Youll soon find out that some wizarding families are better than others Potter," he said looking at Harry and then over to me. I was feeling uncomfortable. "You don't want to be making friends with the wrong sort," he said looking at the red haired boy, "I can help you there," he said extending his hand out for Harry to shake.

"I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks," Harry said. McGonagall returning and hitting Draco's shoulder with the rolled her paper in her hand. Draco moved over to where he was beside me.

"We're ready for you now," said McGonagall.
