Wilbur's POV:

I watched as Dream stutters out his response.

He looked so confused? Although it was hard to tell, honestly, sometimes he wished dream took off his mask. Then again, his privacy and how he uses it is his choice...

'I wonder what does he look like?'

I stared at the emotionless mask in silence. As if it was only a matter of time, Dream side glanced at the floor then back at the cake. "So....How's your day Wilbur?" He breaks the silence.

The tension grew ever more frightening. My face started to sweat because of all the stress. Why was I stressed? Even with the questions flooding, I can't take my eyes off Dream. The man in the green hoodie and black jeans. The man who is known for his strategic mindset and offset PvP.

I replied quickly, the fear of him being worried and asking questions scared me. He shouldn't know. He didn't have to.

"Oh, everything is...Good, good. How about you Dream? Tell me what's going in that, big brain of yours". The snarky comment seemed to make Dream laugh a little.

Dream answered back, the sun shining it's light through the window and touching his mask. "That's great, great... Uh, I've been okay nothing really on my mind at the moment," He trailed. His voice cracked a bit.

Wait... Something's not right here.

Something is fishy..

I don't know what it is, but the way he trailed and muttered seemed more timid than tired.

"You don't sound too good, dream," I whispered. Dream's shoulders slouched a bit. His body seemed limp, tired, stressed, frustrated all at once. It scared me. A lot. "Well, I just haven't been feeling the best, just, I don't even know any more haha," He laughed.

And then, like a shot through the heart, I flushed. That laugh, the sun shining, himself in general. In that moment, I froze. Like time stood still.

Nobody's POV:

"That was nice," Said Dream as he finished his last piece of cake and got up. The man stretched his arms out to relieve the muscles kept stiff. Dream looked at Wilbur for a second. Calm, strong, soft, caring Wilbur. He was glad Wilbur was his friend, sure they didn't hangout much. But it was nice, it felt weirdly better that way.

For some reason...

He decided to ignore whatever his brain wanted to say next. There was no time for that.

"Yeah, it was. Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Wilbur said, getting up and yawning. 'He must be really tired' Thought Dream.

Dream nodded, walking from his seat to the exit door, which was basically the same door they entered from. Leaving, he felt calm. More calm. Like, he was holding his breath throughout the time he was there.

'No, no! Stop it brain. Don't think like that'

But Dream couldn't help but do. He liked how Wilbur cared so much about everybody. He like the way Wilbur sat with him and talked with him. He like that Wilbur was there. He liked how Wilbur stared at him. He liked that Wilbur was just there, existing, being as beautiful as ever.

And yet...Wilbur, wouldn't, care. He has much better things to do.

And with that, Dream continued to walk the lonely road.

Wilbur, in the mean time, watched as Dream walked. He was sulking, he looked sad.

Something wasn't right. Something wasn't right, something wasn't right.

That was all that repeated in his head, and he couldn't just ignore that. But he had to, Dream was a busy man, he was probably stressed with this whole YouTube thing and stuff.

Dream was too busy for him, he had to stay low. He doesn't want to risk losing a friend just because he was annoying..

And with that, he walked the lonely road like Dream, they didn't speak a peep once they parted ways.

Because both were too scared and confused to say anything.
