Halemadge (Nathan Hale x Benjamin Tallmadge)

Ah, what's possibly more cute than young bros breaking windows together.

Now, while it's most likely that their relationship was platonic, it wouldn't hurt to ship it a little, right?

They had cute nicknames for eachother! Tallmadge was nicknamed "Damon" and "Pythias" for Hale. Which is greek legend symbolizes that you're willing to die for eachother. They often wrote poetry expressing their affection towards one another, which is really cute! Platonic or not!

I mean, Hale wrote Tallmadge a poem! That's really sweet!

Tallmadge even once teased Hale for his good looks

You know the Culper Spy ring? Tallmadge was most likely inspired by Hale to do that!
...
It was clearly obvious that Hale's death probably affected Tallmadge a lot. He might've felt guilt for inviting Hale to join the army, since, if "it wasn't because of him. Hale might've been alive". Though, this is just a theory, we can't really know what actually happened.

Though, after the death of Nathan Hale, Tallmadge never spoke of him again. It was too painful for him to do.
(off-topic but Tallmadge refusing to talk about Hale's death reminds me of how Hamitlton never mentioning Laurens')

Tallmadge and Hale most likely had a close friendship bond, since we don't have much surviving documents of them. We don't have straight-forwards stuffs like the Laurens-Hamilton letters so I can't say much. Maybe in the future we might discovers more, but it remains unsolved for now.

Rating : 7/10
Love the ship, but it's probably platonic though.
