Mateo is a soft tough guy, he is usually tough and cold to people he doesn't really know, just to protect himself and his family, but once you warm up to him or if you give off really good vibes then there's a good chance he will be nice and soft to you. Mateo is from Mexico, he was born there and grew up there, it wasn't till he was 16 when he first moved to America, moving to California with a family for an abroad study program, he stayed there for two years and then moved back home when he graduated, stayed home for a bit then moved back to California with his younger sister Bec, Mateo tried finding other regular jobs, even though about school but didn't like the thought of any of it, he in the end decided he really enjoys when he's fighting so he became a street fighter for some cash, he ended up becoming an undefeated champion, he was well known in the street fighting world and soon enough he was being asked to fight every night for higher prices and higher bids. But that also put a target on his back, any fighter who fought him had the intention to murder him, just because the credit you would get for murdering the best fighter. Eventually he was approached by the German Mafia, and was offered a way higher paying job fighting for them, he of course took it because he has stuff to pay for, little did he know the mafia he joined was run by his little sisters best friends brother. Also known as the love of his life's brothers mafia. Mateo has done some fucked up shit in his life, he's murdered, beaten, tortured people, nothing he's very proud of, but he's had to do it, he murderer his own father at 15, in front of his little sister who was 11 at the time. Not a good move on his part but his dad deserved it, if he hadn't done it then his father would have killed one of them. He's never gone to therapy for that trauma, he doesn't really want to because what's the point? They will just make him relive it, or call the cops on him and get him arrested, so no point. Mateo met the love of his life, Maddy, at a business meeting, after one of his fights she came up and asked to talk to him, he accepted and she offered him a job with the mafia her brother runs, after some talking he accepted and soon fell in love with her. But she was his bosses little sister, his mafia bosses little sister, he figured there were rules or something against that and didn't want to risk getting killed over it, so he didn't do anything about his crush. Luckily she did and they got together. And now they are deeply in love and expecting twins. Which makes these kid two and three for mateo, his little "sister" Rosa is actually his daughter who he had at 18, the mom didn't want anything to do with them so he took her and his mom raised her, but ever since maddy and the twins became apart of his life he has decided to tell rosa the truth and make her understand he's her father and not her brother, but she's only 5 so she may or may not understand for a while.
