LillianaI ate the few sushi rolls Ann had ordered during the night before getting up from her bed. We all had separate rooms at the hotel, and I was grateful for that. Cora passed out on her room and we tucked her in nicely before ordering some stuff for our starving stomach's.
"Well, I'm going to go now." I said, wiping my lips with a tissue paper. It was my bedtime.
"I can drop you to your room." Ann suggested, the sushi still between her teeth.
"No, no, I will go. It's fine." The bottle of Smirnoff on her nightstand caught my attention. "Can I take that?" I asked, feeling the previous alcohol wearing off. I could cry a little and drink a little more before sleeping.
"Of course." She nodded.
"Thanks. Goodnight." I grabbed the bottle off her nightstand and took it with me outside her room.
My head buzzed as I looked at the empty, golden hallways of the hotel. My room was at the end, and it even had its own balcony. The door to my room was open but I saw nothing inside except for darkness. A glimpse of someone flashed past me as I entered, leaving me a little scared.
When I twirled around, I faced him, my one and only mate, standing by the window, wearing black.
"Oh, you scared me." I said, pushing the door shut behind me before walking over to him.
His eyes narrowed to the bottle in my hand. "You're reeking with alcohol and you still want to drink more, love?" He let out a low, possessive growl, making my insides quiver.
I placed the bottle aside before wrapping my hands around him. "That's not necessary anymore." I whispered. The only reason I was going to drink was to drown away my sorrows but my mate was here now.
I didn't need anything. The buzz his presence gave me was way much better than any alcohol in this whole, entire world. His scent flooded in my head, providing comfort. After the marking, female could know if it was the right one and the man standing in front of me was the right one.
The heat radiating off his body curled into mine as he circled his arms around my waist, securing me his dominating embrace. His finger dragged across the bare skin over my back but then he stopped when he met with my gaze.
"Well, I don't think there is much we can talk about when you're drunk." His deep whispers met with my ears. Why did he always want to talk? Couldn't we just do other things?
"I'm not drunk!" I scoffed. "I am just a little tipsy." The food made it all go away. I was in stage six of my drunkness and at that stage, I could understand and feel everything.
He gave a nod at my response and my body ached with a need. I met with his lips, unable to hold it anymore as I craved for his touch more than anything. His hand drifted behind my head, pulling me closer as my tongue swirled down his mouth.
He pulled away quick, breaking the kiss and meeting with my gaze again. He dragged his thumb across my cheekbones and down my jaw, studying my droopy features.
"Calling out my name in your dreams already?" He asked, a small smile appearing on his face as my brows tightened. "I heard you that night, anyone from a mile could know who's name you were moaning in your sleep. Should consider sleeping alone next time."
I released a scared breath, not remembering when I moaned out his name. I had never bought it up to my lips even though I knew it. I was just too afraid to believe that it was all real.
It was.
But I did remember the dream I had and as soon as I did, I blushed hard. "You were there?"
