Hold me Close

Chapter 2

Emmet shuffled his feet, while Alice stared sheepishly at me

"Can I help you with something?" I questioned

"May we sit down?" Jasper asked 

I nodded as they sat down. 

"So your'e a vampire now?" Edward questioned

"Yes she is" Dayna sneered

"Yes I am" I corrected in quieter tone

I took up a fork and stuck it in the salad. Dayna chuckled and shuffled around in her backpack to distract herself while I took up the job of showing off. I took a couple pieces and slid it in my mouth while I watched the Cullens faces closely (without choking on the food). Their faces varied in a tone of shock, disbelief, and.....proudness?

"Soooo.....you guys are the infamous Cullens. How have have you guys been after you mffff, mfflfllflffffff?" Dayna asked

I shoved my hand over Dayna's mouth before she could finish that statement. I shook my head at her as a warning. She grinned and shook her head as a response. I rolled my eyes and slipped a knife under the table. She growled as I shoved the knife in her leg. It was plastic, so it couldn't do much damage but since I was a vampire, I was able to pierce through the skin. She gave me a murderous glare as I slowly extracted the knife, but gave a slight nod to my earlier inquiry so I slowly took my hand off her mouth before she would bite me. I looked up to see 10 pairs of confused eyes. 

I smiled and asked "So how have you guys been?" 

"Huh, it looks like she doesn't hate us" Alice thought

I snickered and shook my head slightly. 

Jasper continued "So, I was wondering if you would want to......."

"Bella, Bella, oh Bella!"

I looked toward the East. That was were the voice was coming from. I recognized it. It was Maria. I sighed and looked at Dayna and she nodded. 

"Scuse me"  I hurriedly said  "Will you get my things?"  I asked Dayna

She nodded

 "Oh and Dayna?" 

She looked at me

 "Play nice" 

She scowled as I rushed out of the door and start running towards the forest
