Like Cinderella : Chapter 7

-Evil Deals-

~Cassandra Bell~

29 and a half days. Four weeks. One month. One twelfth of a year. I'm not going any bigger or smaller than that. It had been that many days, weeks since the Masquerade and in a week we were getting our exam results back, and then two months later I'd be eighteen, away from here with my brother.

Back to Prom night, after leaving Mystery Guy, I had made it home just in time, thankfully. Danny however was pestering me, asking about Mystery Guy all night, it was really annoying. I'd also returned her blue dress to her and thanked her immensely for everything.

Don't ask how she found out about Mystery Guy, it was well... It went along the lines of me rushing in and murmuring about how the guy had distracted me and if it weren't for him I'd be home on time.

Mystery Guy... Was still a mystery. Haha. I felt stupid for spilling everything out to him, but I felt comfortable with him and telling him felt right. For some reason I was scared to find him but curious at the same time. What if that night had just been an act? What if he was a real prick?

I had so many questions. Oh well I wasn't going to find out who the guy was, might as well give up, right?

Father had been paying me even lesser attention which only helped my case. My plan was to sign everything my real dad had given to me to him, and get Lee's adoption papers signed from him, then use the money which my gramps had left me to start a new life with Leon. Father knew nothing about the money my grandpa had left me, and I wanted it to stay that way.

Currently, apparently Andrea was getting married. Well not married yet but a guy was meeting up with her today and he's 'yummy' Danny's words not mine. I hadn't been downstairs or seen him. Mainly because I didn't want to attract any unwanted attention from Father

~Cain Adams~

It had been a month since the prom dance and I still hadn't found out who the girl was. I needed to know but I just couldn't find her. The only thing I knew about her was that she had a goldfish tattoo on her left shoulder blade, she had amazing blonde hair, and beautiful, big blue eyes. Yeah, not much of a lead.

"Cain!" I heard a shout from downstairs. Mum. What did she want? Last time she talked to me was about... Oh fuck.

"You know the thing we discussed last month?" Without waiting for a reply she continued, "Well the company owner has invited us for dinner. You will attend dinner with me and you will meet the heiress of the company. It's your birthday next week anyway, so there should be no problem." Mum was using her business tone.

"Mum, I'm sev-eighteen, not many people get married this young nowadays. I want to at least go to university before marrying or even start thinking about it," I say, trying to explain to her that I wasn't ready.

"I understand Cain, just meet her. For me." She said gently.

I squeezed my eyes shut, I'm going to regret this a lot, "Okay,'

This slut is going to be the end of me. Me and mum were at the dinner she had been invited to and I'd been forced to attend. The 'girl' she wanted me to marry was a slut. There is no other way to put it. She had her boobs spilling out of her a bit too tight shirt and her belt like skirt didn't help her case. She was the type of girl you'd have one night stands with, not the type you'd ever consider as your girlfriend or anything else.

Ugh. I told you I was going to regret this. I'd been with so many girls like her, but she was trying too hard. Too hard. I can't even remember her name...Alexia or something she kept 'accidentally' touching me, or she kept reaching across the table then shoving her chest in my face.

I gave my mum a look but she just compressed her smile and started chatting with the guy sitting opposite her. Evil woman.

"So, Cain," started the girl, "I personally can't believe we're getting married!" she giggled. Seriously what the heck?! "Would you like To know what I want on our wedding?" Even though I don't respond she carries on, "I'd like a massive hall all decorated with pink flowers. And then I want you to be wearing a white tuxedo to go with my white dress. Oh and my dress will have a pink ribbon so remember to buy a pink tie. Anyways, we'll have our wedding...." And then I just tuned out. Pink ties? White tuxedos? Yeah not happening.

When I reluctantly tuned back into her blabber she was talking a bout kids! "I don't want kids you know? They ruin the figure... So yeah if you want kids we can totally adopt right? But just keep in mind I won't go near that beast until it's at least thirteen, because before that kids are just monsters-"

"Uhm could you shut up please?" I asked. What? I couldn't think of another way to get her to shut up!

"Aw do you have a headache?" Before I could reply my mum butted in.

"Hey, Cain, why don't you and Andrea go to her room to talk, while we talk about business things you won't be interested in." My mum said, whilst a smirk played on her lips. Oh evil woman. I glared at her, but she toke no note of it. I'd rather stay here than go up with Ale-Andrea, but before I could say anything, the girl was already pulling me up.

Evil.
