The door to the hotel room shut with a bang that somewhat resembled that of a gunshot; which made the Winchester brothers jump. The room smelt of mothballs and dust from the time of the dinosaurs. The dividing screen was decorated with red apples, the bedspread matching the colour, red as blood strait from a vain. “God dammit, insert Evil Queen joke here” Dean muttered, dropping his duffel bag on one of the beds. Sam laughs and sits down on the laughingly small table and opened the laptop. “So, as I was saying, there have been strange storms and cattle death in the past few weeks.” Dean nodded, cracking off the top of a beer. “Yeah the regular stuff. But we normally dapper the more strange things. Like, oh you know. Daemons, vampires. Dragons.” He said roughly.
“Yeah, but the strange thing is, a boy named Nicholas James was found dead yesterday by the side of the road. But!” Sam said quickly as to stop his brother from making an eye patch joke. “The strange thing is that Nick had lost one of his legs in a car crash three years ago.” Sam waited for his brother to drain what remained of his beer “So?” Dean demanded. “So... He was found with both legs, fully attached.” Sam said a smug smile on his face. Dean sighed in defeat.

Two monkey suits, one petrol stop and five minutes of driving later, the brothers had arrived at the morgue. After telling a few lies to the woman at the front counter, they had made it to Nick’s body. It lay in a cold metal table, covered by a white sheet. His crutches leant against the table. Dean walked up to him, slowly peeling off the fabric. Dean turned to his brother, white face. “Well, he’s dead” Sam rolled his eyes and Dean cracked up. “Hilarious” he muttered, taking off the sheet.
“I thought it was funny” A voice said behind them. A woman in a white lab coat and blond hair in a braid walked into the room. She introduced herself as Paulina. “Cause of death?” Sam asked. She shrugged. “There are scratches on the arms and face, but most likely from the bush. But not enough for him to bleed to death. No blood at the sit at all…..actually.” she said matter-of-factly. “But Doctors are saying heart attack.” Dean pushed. She shook her head and laughed, as if he had told a joke. “What’s so funny?” the brothers asked in unison. A smile dropped from her face. “There was no sign of a heart attack, high blood rate of even poisoning. He just… died”
