Johanna watched as a girl named Nicole twirled around in the dress Dalyla had made for her. Today, Dalyla had sensed that Nicol's mate was comig to get her. She and the other girls could sense that, too. Nicole had her short blonde hair in tight ringlets in a ponytail. She smiled and hugged everyone, even if she hadn't gotten to know them all very well.

All the girls knew each other and had become friends. Some more than others. Nicole's best friend, Hailey, was crying and hugging her tightly. Johanna smiled, knowing that someday, she and Dalyla ould be doing the same thing. She had gotten to love Dalyla like a sister the past 2 years. Now that the girls were 16, they were one step closer to home.

Suddenly, Dalyla shushed the girls and looked ahead. "Here he comes, Nicky." She smiled warmly at Nicole. Then, a young man with jet black hair and green eyes stepped into view. He looked around at the girls until his eyes fell on Nicole. They both took a deep breath and walked up to one another. Nicole smiled at him while he closed his eyes and inhaled her scent.

"Mate." he said, pulling her into a protective and poseesive hug. Then, they held hands as they walked out of the Enchanted Grounds. There was a barrier around the forest the girls were in to make sure no one got in or out unless they found their mate. Since Nicole was with her mate now, she could pass through.

Johanna wondered what her mate would look like. What kind of food he might like, what he'd like to do for fun... You're daydreaming again! Snap out of it! Johanna hated her wolf sometimes. she could never drift off without it making her stand at attention. Her wolf was demanding and hard-headed. Johanna, however, was almost the complete opposite. She never really asked for much and she agreed with everyone.

Dalyla walked over to her friend and smiled. "That'll be you one day." The Scottish Witch said happily.

Johanna smirked at her. "What about you? Where's your mate... or, do witches not have one?" She asked.

Dalyla shrugged and layed back on a large rock. "Some Witches do. But, I don't know about me. Maybe, I'm just not trying hard enough to sense 'im." She stared down at her lap, feeling confused. If she did have a mate, how would he know where to find her? And, what would she do if she had to leave Johanna and the others behind.

"You just have to have hope that he'll find you, Dalyla. I've been praying and talking to my mother every night, asking her to help guild my mate and the other girls mates here. It worked for Nicole, so it'll work for the rest of us." Johanna watched as Dalyla's mode shifted from confused thinking to revived happiness.

"You're right. It'll just take a bit of time, is all." The two girls hugged each other and watched as the evening sky welcomed the stars and the moon.
