Everyone in the room stared at me. "Prince Ashland there have been rumors, sightings of the armies...and still you will do nothing?" Erik yelled. The room submitted to chaos and things were becoming out of control, yet i sat there on my throne emotionless and indifferent to the insanity. "It would be wise, as men of dignity in my kingdom, to cease your quarling and let me explain. Unless you would all rather lose your heads to the guilletine." I said loudly, yet in a bored manner. Everyone stared at me in shock but i fixed them with my icey stare.How ridiculous they were.They fool themselves by assuming I ,the prince of all, NEEDED them,worthless people who meant nothing to the world! They all sat there and waited for me to finish my statement. Erik of all people should know better than to question my authority. I stand up and fold my arms behind my back. As i pace i begin to explain my plan.

"we will do nothing until we know more.These are our own people,therefore i refuse to act foolishly.i will not-" suddenly everything goes black and i am aware only of a stab of pain in my head,but soon even that is gone.

*Embers POV*

When i wake up in the middle of the night i am vaugly aware i am not alone. I know i am never truely alone. There is always the shadow man with me, controlling my dreams. I look around and cautiously get out of bed and i light a candle. I am enveloped in the safe, warm light and that comforts me. Darkness is evil. It hides reality;it cloaks the good with shadows. Nothing good happens at night time. I learned when i was young that darkness meant my free will was taken away, and all i was able to do was wish for light. Are the wishes even worth anything anymore?

Suddenly there is a flash of pain in the back of my head and i cry out.then the vision,much associated with this pain, begins.

A man with black hair is laying on the floor.everyone is crowding around his convulsing body trying to revive him.He is seizing on the floor.suddenly he stops and they carry his weak limp body to his chamber.
