Chapter Two: Slytherin or Gryffindor

Albus grabbed his luggage and the others copied.

"Why didn't the treat cart come?" asked Xeena.

"Well, they're still trying to find a new cart woman. The old one recently turned out to be working under the Imperius Curse, but they don't know who Imperiused her, and now she's in St. Mungo's Hospital," replied Rose walking out of the compartment.

"Oh, I wonder who Imperiused the woman. She was supposed to be really nice" finished Rose.

"Exactly! Maybe the person who Imperiused her was trying to get into Hogwarts!" exclaimed Bellatrix.

"Possibly, but it doesn't make sense why anyone would want to get into Hogwarts now that Voldemort's gone", said Albus walking down the train hall with eeryone.

"Exactly!" agreed Rose.

Bellatrix frowned and pushed her way past Rose to stand next to Albus. Clearly she was interested in his ability or.....him.

"Wow. Look at the school. It's so much more amazing uclose" said Bellatrix with her eyes opened wide, scanning the area with interest.

Albus smiled. He knew Bellatrix acted cool, but there was a good, curious side to her. Bellatrix saw Albus smiling at her and she playfully pushed him in the side.

"What?" awsked Bellatrix, turning red.

"Nothing." shrugged Albus.

"Well, let's get going. I can see Professor Hagrid up ahead. He's taking the first years" said Bellatrix looking away from Albus and walking forward.

Albus followed Bellatrix with Rose and Xeena behind him. When they got to Hagrid, Albus noticed that he was at least 10 feet tall. The rumor of him being a half giant was true.

"First years! Over 'ere! We gotter get ter the sortin!" yelled Hagrid.

All the first years gathered around Hagrid and after a quick glance at them all, Hagrid gestured his gigantic hand toward the lake that supposidly had a giant squid living in it. All the first years followed Hagrid onto paddle boats that seated four people each, but Hagrid sat in his own personal boat. No one else could squeeze in with Hagrid.

"All right. Everyone take 'em seats and then we can get going. Follow me."

Bellatrix, Albu, Rose and Xeena sat together. Albus looke dover his fellow first years. Some looked nervous, but some, like him, seemed unsure. Others seemed to be positive, like Bellatrix. Albus grabbed the paddles to start paddling, but they jerked out of his hands and started rowing themselves.

"Yours in the wizarding world Albus" said Bellatrix with a smirk. Albus turned slightly red and rolled his eyes.

Albus looked into the water and caught a glance of something large zoom through the lake.

"Look! I think I saw the lake monster!" exclaimed Albus.

"We are no monsters, only mer-people, but there is a giant squid in these waters" said a strange female who had a green face, tentacle like hair, a long jade green fin, and the sharpest teethe Albus had ever seen.

"Who are you?" asked .Rose. The merperson giggled.

"I'm Jade, the merfolk say you are Albus Potter, the son of Harry Potter. And you must be Rose. The kin of the two friends of Harry Potter. A honor to meet you both," said Jade, swimming gracefully beside the boat.

"Hello" said Xeena, who leaned over the boat with Bellatrix.

"Ah....you are the daughter of Luna nad Neville. Also notable folk, but.....gasped Jade staring at Belatrix.
