Centralia, Philadelphia. The inspiration and home land of the all popular Silent Hill. The peaceful town once was home to about 1,100 people. A giant fire broke out and consumed the ground underneath. The place is now uninhabitable and covered in smoke and ash. You can visit it but at your own risk. Route 61 is the main road used to get to the town but, for obvious safety reasons, you aren't allowed to drive cars on it. The whole road is covered with graffiti. The church is still standing to this day. The entire town is overgrown with nature. The eerie feeling of knowing that you're in a place where people's entire life's were surrounds you. Houses are left with nothing more then walls and old clothes. Old pots and pans with food still in it. Reminders of what used to be still there. Some people speculate that the fire was started one purpose for some government control scam. Others believe it was a complete accident. What do you think?
