"You sure no one's going to judge me?"
"No way, I'll even do it with you Ro"
"You don't need to Jan. I'll be fine."
"Now that's the confidence you need!".
"You know what? I'm doing it!"

The next day

Roman was looking in the mirror, and slightly regretting the fact that he said he would. He had a less confidence then he did last night.

He had his normal princely shirt and sash but instead of his normal white trousers he was wearing a skirt. He quite liked them, they were comfy for him, well at least the ones he owned were.

He didn't wear them often or at all, but two nights ago he and Janus were going through his wardrobe and had found them.

Janus said that he should wear them, but he had told him that he didn't want to because he didn't want to be judged for it, somehow the previous night Janus had persuaded him to do so and he was now regretting it, his confidence wasn't the same as when he agreed, but the deed was done.

It's not like it was against his will, but in a strange way he wanted to wear one, he hadn't worn any of them in a long time and they were extremely comfy.

The skirt he was wearing was a plain white one that was layered with mesh to give the skirt look a little more full. It was simple, but looked stunning. It had a line of trim the same red as his sash which had a small pattern of diamond outline shapes in gold.

He was wearing a pair of Christmas socks because his feet were cold and it just so happened that the only warm socks were Christmas ones. The socks were red with a gold pattern that pretty much went, two lines and a row of the same diamond pattern on his skirt and repeat.

He walked away from the mirror and to headed to his door and placed his hand on the door knob and turned it.

He walked through the hallways to the stairs, everyone was already downstairs as it took Roman a great deal of contemplating and confidence to wear a skirt.

"Kiddo hurry up breakfast's ready." Patton yelled from the kitchen, Roman quickened his pace and rushed down the stairs, everyone was sitting on the couch or a chair that they found.

Roman went to the counter and grabbed his plate of pancakes which were becoming colder by the second, they were folded to allow stacking while they were stuffed with crofters.

Roman walked with his plate and sat next in between Janus and Picani.

"Oh look who finally wore a skirt!" Janus said actually surprised that Roman kept up his promise of wearing one of the skirts.

Roman's response was to deadpan.

"You look great, calm down dragon witch slayer."

"I slay in a skirt as well you snek."

"Huh?" Virgil said, he had been on his phone and was yet to realise that Roman was wearing a skirt.

"Oh sorry, you look good in a skirt Ro." Virgil felt a little bad for not noticing, though Roman smiles back at the compliment, despite living with people who didn't hate him, he rarely got compliments.

After the compliments that both Janus and Virgil had given his confidence increased.

Slowly everyone finished their food and went on with their daily routines. Eventually only Logan, Emile and Roman were in the living room, being the last few to get their breakfast.

Logan finally spoke up, even though there was no uncomfortable and awkward atmosphere,
"Roman and Emile, what are you doing today?" He asked.

"I'm watching cartoons... for research of another one of Thomas's cartoon therapy videos... totally not just watching cartoons."
"Ok?" Roman said, he knew Emile was lying, both him and Patton weren't too good at lying, being the therapist and moral side became part of them, more of a hobby than a job.

At least to Roman, his job wasn't a part of his personality, he liked being creative, sure, but the problem with being creativity was that he would get a creativity block, and a lot of paperwork and deadlines that caused him to stress and overwhelm himself. And doubting himself, that was part of his job, deciding which of his ideas wasn't 'good enough', having to choose one idea had caused him to doubt himself more than he would've before becoming a proper side.

"Roman? You good?" Emile had asked snapping from his stare to whatever he saw in his head.

"Oh yeah, I just have a little work to do." Well wasn't that a massive lie? Roman knew he'd be up at least till 10pm, at most 12, but that was his version of an little work' and a 'decent sleep schedule'. In fact, when Virgil had told him how unhealthy it was, despite him agreeing that he stayed up to the same time, Virgil had to try convince Roman it wasn't 'normal'.

The three eventually left for their work, in fact when Roman had gone into his room and taken a quick look at the mirror, he had realised he was still wearing a skirt, huh, I didn't notice.
