Y/N POV
I was called to Leader-Sama's office today for my first mission. Since it is my first one, the mission was simple: Find out where the Nine-tailed jinjuriki is going, and collect needed recourses if I find or come across them.
I pack my things, tell Deidara, Sasori and Itachi where I'm going and headed back to Konoha; the village I left for a better life.
I arrived after a hours and I climbed into a tree near the main entrance and exit. Positioning myself in such a way that I can see inside the village but no-one can see me. One of the first things I see is a meeting with Team 7. I can't hear what Kakashi is saying but I'll find out sooner or later.
Nothing else happened today, so I set up a small camp father away from my vantage point and slept 'till the next day.
I woke up around 6:38 in the morning and went back to that tree. Just as I got there, I saw Team 7 leaving Konoha with Yamato and Might Guy. Good thing I packed my camp up and covered my tracks. I hid my chakra and followed them by tree. Everyone was talking about everything except the thing I needed.
I followed them for a couple more hours and then, finally
"Kakashi-Sensei~! Guy-Sensei~! Yamato-Sensei~! When are we gonna get there~!?" Naruto whined.
"We have a few days travel until we get to the Twelve Guardian Ninja Tombs so don't start complaining. We will tell you when we get there, Naruto." Kakashi says, unenthusiastically.
So that where they are going! And its kinda a good thing we traveled for a few hours because I collected some extra information and lots of healing herbs and some edible food.
I left the group and headed back to Akatsuki base. On my way, I found something horrific. A hunter was about to shoot a pride of ligers! I was enraged and quickly went behind the hunter and killed him but it was too late: he had already shot. I ran up to the ligers to see if there was any chance of healing them but the where dead. I shed a tear (I would of cried if I could) and was just about to leave until I heard a sad little meow. Turning around, I noticed a den and in front of it was a liger kitten. I sat down a bit away from her (yes, it is a her) and waited for her to come to me. She must have saw how I killed her family murderer because she almost immediately but slowly came into my lap. I could see she trusted me and we sat there for a few minutes before she fell asleep. I picked her up and headed back to the base.
When I got back Deidara, Sasori, Konan, Itachi, Kisame and Tobi were in the lounge. I slipped past them, not wanting to wake the liger cub up with Tobi's antics and with Sasori's, Deidara's and Itachi's concern.
I knocked on Leader-Sama's door and I heard an "Enter" so I went in. I gave him the mission report and he was pleased by the information and herbs I had collected. I also told him about the liger incident and Leader-Sama allowed me to keep her! I was super excited but kept a straight face.
After leaving his office, I went to my room. The others must still be in the lounge. Entering my colorful yet dark room, I set the cub on my comfiest pillow and came up with a name for this cutie killing machine:

I came out of my room and went the lounge where everyone still was.
"Hey guys!" You say "Before you say anything, I didn't say hi to you when I first came in because I found an orphaned tiger-lion cub hybrid and she was sleeping when I came in and I didn't want to wake her up. Also I am not hurt because I know your going to ask that."
"A LIGER CUB?! AWWWW! HAS Y/N-NAMED IT?! TOBI CAN HELP YOU NAME IT!" Tobi yelled, glomping me.
"A liger cub, huh? They grow to a very large size and they are almost impossible to tame, especially the cubs so you, Y/N, are special." Sasori says. He knows a surprising amount about animals.
"So can we all help you name it?" Deidara asked hopefully.
"Are you can control a liger? They are very powerful." Itachi says, being his paranoid cuddle-bear.
"I heard tigers and lions and both good swimmers so a liger must be great!" Kisame said excited.
"Awww... A liger cub must be sooo cuute! When can we see her?" Konan says with subtle hearts in her eyes. She really likes cats.
"No, I've not named her yet. Yes, you all help name her. I know they grow to immense heights and I think that's one of the reasons Leader-Sama allowed me to keep her. I can control her so don't worry. Ligers are actually amazing swimmers so maybe you could train her and swim with her. You can probably meet her when she wakes up or when she wants to go out of my room." I say, addressing all the comments and question.
A/N: Wooo! Longest chapter so far! Please suggest names for the liger cub. I probably won't update until I've found the purr-fect name. Here is the extra info I promised at the start:
What all the Akatsuki think of Y/N and what they like about her!:
Pein/Nagato: He thinks she is powerful but too kind for her own good. He likes her because she makes Konan happy and she is a good asset to the Akatsuki.
Deidara: He thinks she is gorgeous, kind, strong and too amazing for this world.
Sasori: To put it simply, he thinks Y/N to be an absolutely perfect goddess of beauty and kindness.
Hidan: He thinks she is very understanding and respectful but he likes that she can be very chaotic at times.
Kakuzu: He likes she doesn't disturb him, she cooks great on a low budget. She will also help find lost money and get more.
Itachi: He loves her and everything about her. He is her brother after all. One of his favorite things is how she can be so kind yet so smart can serious.
Kisame: He likes her because she likes swimming, she makes Itachi happy and understands and respects him.
Konan: She likes Y/N because she is the only other girl in the Akatsuki, she understands and empathizes her and that she is kinda like a daughter or little sister to her.
Tobi/Obito/Madara: He likes her because she is fun, powerful, smart and would defiantly empathize and comfort him if he told Y/N about his past.
Zetsu: He doesn't threaten her death because she never ignores the salty side (Kuro or black Zetsu) and discards his sweeter side (Shiro or White Zetsu). She takes every word and makes it constructive criticism. She never called him a monster or anything close to that.
