It was pitch black and outside a house came the sound of an engine shutting off. The lights blinked out of existence as a car door opened. An emerald eyed boy got out of the driver's side before unlocking the door to the passenger's. He helped a figure out of the car and they slowly started to move towards the house.

"Cmon Alexis, we are almost back home." Pyro coaxed, helping her up the stairs. The boy helped the groggy girl, basically a dead weight in the taller's arms.

The black haired girl was seemingly asleep, tired from the partying that they'd been doing. Alexis and Pyro had gone out with some friends to a party for fun. Alexis seemed to be a lot more drained then usual so Pyro offered to bring her back home to the house that they all shared.

Pyro quickly fumbled for his keys, reaching inside his pocket. As soon as he felt the cold metal he pulled them out and unlocked the door. Stepping inside, he helped Alexis before closing the door behind him.

Dim lights adorned the rooms as Alexis staggered by herself. "Let's just get you up to your room." Pyro murmured. A hum of agreement came from Alexis as she rubbed her eyes attempting to wake up a bit more.

"Thanks a lot Pyro." Her soft voice echoed though the room. "You didn't have to do this you know? I kinda feel bad since we had to leave early."

Pyro let out a small huff, "Don't feel bad, it's 2am anyways, some of us are bound to get tired earlier. Flare looked like she was gonna drop dead but none of us could convince her to leave."

Another yawn left Alexis as she slowly nodded. Her feet started shuffling towards the stairs. Pyro remained glued to her side, ready to catch her if she even started to tilt.

After a few minutes they made it to Alexis's room, the curtains were drawn and the barest flicker of light was visible. Alexis slid off her heels and soft carpet greeted her feet. Sighing in relief, she walked over to the bed and flopped down on it.

"Thanks Pyro, I mean it." Alexis said, her eyes slowly drifting shut. She rotated onto her side, facing towards the window and her breathing became more steady.

"It's nothing, I'd do anything for you." He remarked quietly under his breath.

Pyro stayed for a bit making sure that Alexis actually fell asleep, and did reawaken to watch Netflix or something.

With only a little movement from the girl, he deemed her asleep. He started moving quietly towards the exit. Before he left he glanced once more at the sleeping girl.

"I love you Alexis." He confessed to her, he smiled lightly before leaving the room. The door was shut quietly and a soft click was heard.

Alexis however wasn't as asleep as Pyro had thought. Her eyes snapped open at the statement, her face blushing a bright shade of fuchsia. Her heart started beating quicker and she buried her head in her pillow.

She had wanted to hear those four words from him for a long time. Glancing back at the door, Alexis smiled widely. "I love you too Pyro."

Needless to say, Alexis didn't get as good as a nights rest as she thought she would. Her thoughts were swarmed with those four wonderful words.
