I remember so vividly my first physical encounter with animals. It was here in my hometown of Callowfield, Holden.
Callowfield is a big city and Holden is a small town, one of the smallest in the whole city to be exact.
Here's the thing, growing up in a small town has its perks(living in a two story house, going to high school with a lot of great friends, first love, growing up with a dog named Will).

High school comes with your first love, and needless to say Holden was full of many beautiful girls

I met Ari in freshman year and we started dating.

But things can change, because now I just live with Abby and of course the wolves, and me and Ari aren't together anymore

The one thing I don't remember about my first animal encounter though, here in my hometown of Holden, Callowfield, was letting the arctic fox out.

It was a bitter winter night in Holden and I was at the local wildlife center

It was a bitter winter night in Holden and I was at the local wildlife center. It was the earlier days after me and Ari broke up so I was alone.
I was visibly upset and wasn't thinking straight and the animals always seemed to help.
Like I said, I don't remember this part of the encounter very vividly but I do remember certain bits and pieces.
I remember I looked straight at the fox- who was nothing more than just a pup at the time. He looked like he had trapped in captivity for way too long.
"Hey little buddy, you wanna get out of here huh?" I had said. I had gone to college for Animal Science and I had learned a special way to communicate with animals. This little fox looked up at me, its brown eyes persistent.
Just like that I undid the latch on the cage. The fox ran out of the cage and put his nose in my lap. I patted his head and then I went back to my truck and drove away as the fox wandered off into the wild.
I later found out that this fox pup killed two prize cows, a goat and murdered someone.
I'd never heard of a baby fox killing someone before but I've learned that you should never doubt an animal's capabilities.
