amortentia

The swishing of the wind was the only thing that could be heard on the chilly Friday afternoon in potions class at Hogwarts. Today Professor Snape made all the fifth years make Amortentia.

 "Astrid what does your Amortentia smell like? I bet 10 galleons it's smells like Draco." whispered Luna. One thing about Luna is that she is very peculiar, and that her Amortentia doesn't really smell like anything JUST YET. Professor Snape said probably her soulmate might've not been born yet, but that would be a really weird age gap. "Hmmm my Amortentia smells like mahogany apple, and Dior Sauvage cologne." I replied really engaged with the toxicating smell of my Amortentia. The room went silent like you could hear a quill drop. "Why does Astrid's Amortentia smell like Draco Malfoy, she can't be in love with him right?" whispered a lot of Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Slytherins. Draco slowy approached Luna and I. "Mudbloo- Astrid I mean, I heard  that your Amortentia smells like me is that right?"asked Draco. "Oh shi-" I mumbled under my breath, "Yes Draco I'm pretty sure your the only one in this school who  wears too much Dior Sauvage cologne and smells like mahogany apple." I said with a lot of anger in my voice, because of how he insults me everyday. "Ok, it's surprising that my Amortentia smells like a muggle-born and yours smells like me." he said with a shocked tone in his voice. "Meet me in the dungeons after the feast." he told me and walked away. "Did I just get asked out by Draco Malfoy?" stunned I said. "Yes you did get asked out by Malfoy" said Hermione rolling her eyes as she walked by. Potions class came to end, and to that was the end of my classes for the day. 

We all headed to the Great Hall for supper. Everyone even the teachers were staring at me. I sat down next to Luna in the Ravenclaw table. "Why is everyone staring at me, it's getting creepy" I told Luna creeped out. She thought for a while and then responded. Luna looked at me in the eyes and said "Do you not remember that your Amortentia smelled like Draco, plus he asked you out no wonder people are staring at you!" After Luna told me that, my eyes wandered to the Slytherin table. Over there Draco sent me a paper bird with a message. "Meet me now at the entrance of the Slytherin common room." the message said. "Luna if anyone asks where I'm at just tell them I'm asleep ok?"I told her quietly. "Ok, I won't tell anyone; remember don't do anything bad." Luna replied munching on her food. I sneaked through the Great Hall to the dungeons, where Draco was waiting for me. He grabbed my arm; whispered the passcode to his common room, and took me to his dorm.

His dorm was in fact really nice. The color scheme was sliver and green which was expected, because Draco's a Slytherin.  "So what do you want Draco?" I asked him stiffly. It clearly looked as if he was deciding whether to tell me something or not, but then he finally gave in. "Astrid I was wondering if you would go to the Mirror of Erised with me?" he gave into saying. It was a really weird request but I understood why. He wanted to see if our deeply desires were the same. Probably he wanted to see if we both desired a future together. "Well of course Draco I'll go with you." I told him with compassion. He looked deeply in my eyes and embraced me into a hug. "Well come on then we wouldn't want to get caught, right Draco?" We left his dorm and headed to the Mirror of Erised.

It was pretty cold on the way to the mirror, so Draco gave me his sweater. I didn't know what to say, but I was really grateful. "We're here Astrid" Draco told me amazed as he looked at the mirror. "This is a lot bigger and more beautiful than I thought it would be." I said mesmerized. We looked at the mirror for a bit. "Are you ready to see what the mirror shows us Astrid?" he said scared. Draco and I stepped into the mirror, and what I saw surprised me. Erised showed Draco and I probably in our mid 30's with a young boy. I stumbled and choked out "Draco did you just see what I saw?". He was paralyzed for a second and responded "Like did you see us in our mid- 30's we a young boy?" he said still. The air in the room went still; you could hear the wind whistling in the background. What the potion told us was right. Draco was attracted to me, and I was attracted to Draco. We stared at each others eyes for a bit, and then locked our lips into a passionate kiss. It was true Draco Malfoy did smell like mahogany apple, and Dior Sauvage cologne. He lead me to his dorm and the rest was history.
