Ch. 1 // Welcome

(Before we start Chihiro is going to have they/them pronouns [Non binary] so you don't get confused)

Ishimarus pov:

I've been waiting for this moment my whole life. A ticket to leave this dreaded place with my father.

When I opened the envelope that said I'd been accepted into Hope's Peak Academy I would've nearly burst into cheers of joy. That is of my father didnt read the note from over my shoulder...."Its probably a mistake. Theres no way you could get into that school! That school are for special people." He looked at me in disgust "And you're not special. You're worthless. What kind of talent is Ultimate Moral Compass? They probably just felt bad for you and made something up" he said grabbing another beer out of the fridge then walks out the room. I stand there now about the burst into tears of pain and sadness. At that moment I realize that the envelope has something in it and I reach in it to pull out a key. I read the note more apparently this is my room key. So it is true I look around to make sure my father wasn't around. I know he'd steal the key and hide it he wants me to be trapped in this horrid place forever. No one was around so I scurried to my room and quickly packed I bag of clothes and other necessity. Then I try to sneak pass my father. It seems like he's passed out so I become slightly less anxious. I walk to the door about to leave when I feel an evil aura behind me. I freeze knowing what's about to happen. "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!" He shouts in my ear. I turn to reply but he slaps my face l. "LEAVING ME LIKE YOUR MOTHER?! HUH!?" I look at the ground then he grabs my chin and pulls my face towards his "LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU BOY" "y-yes sir" I say shaking. He throws me to the ground "Go to your room you are NOT going to that school!" "Bu-" "ARE YOU DEAF I SAID GO TO YOUR MOTHERFUCKING ROOM YOU DISAPPOINTMENT!" He screams. I cover my ears then I take my bag to my room. It looks like I'll have to leave during the night.

Mondos pov:

Daiya has been checking the mail everyday since I sent an application to Hope's Peak Academy. Not like I'm going to get in I'm a part of a gang after all. As that thought passes my mind Daiya rans the door open. I slightly jump. "LOOK ITS A LETTER FROM HOPES PEAK!!" He shouts running over to me. He acts like a little girl. He hands me the letter I open it and start reading. What?! No way! I got accepted! Daiya must've read that because he then shouts "YA THATS MY LITTLE BRO!" I chuckle "yeah sure" it says I have a room and the key is in the envelope. I look at Daiya his eyes are tearing up "The little birdy is leaving the nest" he says dramatically and sniffles. I nudge him "Oh come on" I say him a smile then we both laugh. "So you gonna help me pack?" I ask walking to my room "Aww does the birdy need help??" He says sarcastically. I blankly stare at him for a few seconds then start packing. He can be so stupid sometimes. After I'm done packing (a backpack cause he cant put anything one his motorcycle) I say bye to Daiya and leave.

Ishimarus pov:

After I confirm my father is asleep I sneak out the front door. I then start running down the block incase he followed me. The school is about an 2 hour walk so I call my only friend Chihiro to pick me up. They arrive about 20 minutes later. Then they drive me to the dorms. "Thank Chi" I say "No problem I'm going here too its fine" they say. "Oh before I forget do you know where room 907 is?" I ask Chihiro states at me with a smile "No way we're roomies!" They say I smile. That's great since I'm horrible at socializing. As me and Chihiro walk to our dorm they start talking about their boyfriend "Oh did I tell you I have a boyfriend?" "No!" "Hes our neighbor I'll introduce you tomorrow! His name is Leon! You'll have to meet his two friends too." We enter the room and Chihiro helps me unpack. Then we quickly fall asleep.

-The next day lunch time-

Ishimarus pov:

"Ishi! Come on get ready!" Chihiro whines. We're going out for lunch and I get to meet Leon and his two friends. Chihiro is wearing a lime colored tank top with a brown colored sweater with white jeans. I wear I white hoodie and black jeans. Chihiro picked my outfit because they didnt want me to wear a suit. Chihiro then pulls me over and pulls out a bottle of fondation out of their pocket. "Theres a bruise on your cheek" they explained then put some over it. "Thanks!" I say. They smile and know then we leave

Mondos pov:

Leon's making me meet his partner today and his partner is bringing a friend. I really dont wanna go but free food is on the table. I'm to lazy to do my hair to I tie it up in a small ponytail. I throw on a black tank top and baggy black pants and meet up with Leon at the restaurant. We get a table and wait for his partner. "So why'd I have to come?" "We'll you see it's for Chihiros friend so he won't be as nervous. They said to bring a friend or two to make him feel more comfortable." Leon explains "Then why'd they bring him?" I ask "He's their bestfriend and they want him to make more friends." I sigh. Then Leon gets a call and he says that Chihiro is here with their friend. Then the door opens I see Chihiro holding someone's wrist then I go to see who but their face is covered. Then they start walking over . When they finally make it Chihiro slaps the taller males shoulder "Put your hood down!" They command. He then puts the hood down. My heart skips a beat. I look to see and my heart skips a beat. His short raven hair, his big ruby red eyes and his pale skin. Hes much taller than Chihiro but still shorter than me.

Ishimarus pov:

I look at the ground not making contact. "Now take a seat and I'll introduce you to everyone" They say I nod and sit across from the other 2 people. I fidget with my fingers. Chihiro must notice that in nervous because they say "Leon is the Ugly orange head" (aka ed sheran) "Hey that's not the way to introduce me!" He says and Chihiro laughs. I look up to see Leon hes sitting in the middle. "I'm Leon Kuwata! The Ultimate Baseball Player." He says with a smile "I'm Mondo Owada. The Ultimate Biker" say the other person. Chihiro smiles "Oh um....I'm Kiyotaka Ishimaru" I say with a pause "The Ultimate Moral Compass. Nice to meet you all" I say with a small smile. Chihiro whispers to me "good job " "What was that about?" asked Leon "Oh I was just saying th-" I cover Chihiros mouth "That their hungry and want to order now let's decide what to order." I say Chihiro glares at me and I glare back then they stick their tounge out at me. I cross my arms then my laugh. The others are looking at us like we're monkeys. We then order the food as we wait Leon asks how old I am "I'm 18 almost 19" I say then we all go around tell our age Chihiro 18, Leon 19 and Mondo 19. "Hey Ishimaru have you had deez?" Leon asks "Deez? What's Deez?" I ask as Chihiro and mondo are trying not to laugh "DEEZ NUTZ" Leon roars with laughter "I CANT BELIVE YOU FELL FOR IT!" Leon laughs I glare at him he freezes "Woah there buddy no need to kill me" he says and Chihiro looks at me "Hm? Hes not mad" They say. Even though I am "W-What?! Then what was that" He asks confused "Did I not tell you hes very professional. I had to make him not wear a suit. If he wasn't so shy he'd shake your hands" Chihiro laughs. I want to bang my head on a wall. "Oooh yeah I totally forgot" Leon says. At that moment the food arrives. We start eating. I can't remember the last time I had fast food. I noticed Mondo kept glancing over st me but I paid no attention to it.

*Time skip to after they're all done eating and left cause idk what to put there 🤡*

"We should go to the beach before it gets too cold!" Leon suggests Chihiro smiles in agreement "Friday is supposed to be in the 90's so we could go then" Mondo says looking at his phone. Beach.....that means I'd have to show my body.....full of scars and such that stuck out against my sickly pale skin. I feel a hand on my shoulder "Taka? You alright?" Chihiro asks as Mondo and Leon walk ahead. I show a faint smile "yeah" and we continue walking.

Maybe one day I'll find someone to help me learn to love myself
