"Im Just Glad You're Safe..."

[So a bit about this before it starts, this is a Valiant Hero AU, where Henry Escapes with Ellie and is presumed dead, and Charles, ya know uh- lives. This is really a one shot type deal, and I may update here and there. But not frequently because I'm not doing online schooling anymore.  Hope you readers enjoy! :)]

Henry sat down at the bar counter, looking back on the memories that had led him here. Breaking into the bank in desperate need of money, breaking free from prison, stealing the Tunisian Diamond , infiltrating the airship for the government with and Charles. And finally being captured and Escaping the Wall with Ellie, and thus being presumed dead.

To be quite honest, Henry had grown quite fond with Charles from the missions they'd been on for the past year before the Wall. He'd seemed to always be entranced by the slightly shorter male. His warming smile, his bicolored eyes, and his soft looking lip- Henry shook his head to rid himself of the thought his cheeks turning a medium shade of pink. He shouldn't feel this way about him. After all, he never knew if there would be a day where one of them died on a mission. And even if they never did, there was a high chance he didn't even like guys, much less a guy like Henry. His attention was brought to the T.V on the wall as the news channel started up.

" -The Romanian Ruby and the Tunisian Diamond, the orbital station allows the Toppat Clan to easily raid any location on Earth." Alice said in a monotone voice. Henry's mind again went back to just before he and his friends entered the bar. He and Ellie had found a truck, crushed under some sort of weight, and Toppat Clan members being beamed up to the station. Gunshots soon followed, as well as the figure of an exhausted Charles, who turned towards his friends, surprise and relief of his face.

      "Henry, is that you?"He questioned. His heart began to pound a bit faster at the sight of Henry, but nonetheless he ran towards the duo and engulfed them in a group hug.

"Whoa, who's your friend Henry?@Ellie said, Barely  breathing from Charles' strength. Charles let them go after hearing the raspiness of her voice.

         "I thought you died! They said you had an accomplice with you too. Nice to meet ya!"He exclaimed happily. "It's a bit cold, we should go find somewhere to hang out in for a little bit." Charles said, only now did he realize how cold he felt since his running had distracted his mind from that. Henry nudged his head towards the bar, sing along that they could they could stay there for he time being. "Good idea man! I'll be sure to pay since you guys don't exactly have any money on ya." Charles said with a smile on his face. He and Henry's eyes made contact, and his face flushed a slight shade of red.

Henry was since again distracted from the  sound of Charles sitting down on the stool next to him, placing down a cup of hot chocolate. "Man.." He stated, exhausted, "The Toppat Clan has been causing a bunch of problems for me lately."

        
                "Oh really?" Ellie asked, one arm on the table keeping her head up, and the other holding her drink."That's gotta suck."

"Yeah, Ever since they got that orbital station set up, they've been super strong." Charles said as he stretched the u. "Hey, we've made a pretty good team in the past! I bet we could take em out!" He exclaimed, pitting one around around each of his friend's shoulders. "It's starting to get personal. What'd ya say?" Charles asked.

       
          "Hell yea. How 'bout you Henry?" Ellie asked him. Henry nodded in approval.

"Awesome!" Charles said, grinning ear to ear. Henry's face flushed a bit at the sight. Ellie winked at him, aware of his feelings. Henry then glared at her in slight annoyance and anger. "Alright, follow me. I have a way we can get into space." Charles said, unwrapping his arms and leading his friends out the door.
