Clara P O.V

As the monster went out of the room l felt hurt and sad that he treated me and my grandma like dogs but all I could do was cry.
I also remembered that my granny's condition was worsening by the day and I could not pay for my college and hospital bills.

One day granny was her bed and started to breathe heavy. I was so worried that started to cry.
"Hush my child, it's fine but my child will you please listen to what I'm going to say." I nodded with tears in my eyes.
" When we came here, I begged him to stay because we had no place to stay so we made contract that when you grow up like you are my child. I would give you up as a wife to his son. So....." My eyes went wide with shock as I interrupt "You what!"
"My child I'm sorry I didn't tell you but if I didn't agree we wouldn't have anywhere to live." She said sadly.
"You could have told me earlier, we could have find a way to live but now it's too late, Alex is here and by now his dad has told him already and I'm supposed to marry that monster. What a way to save our lives grandma!" One week had passed, Mr and Mrs Thompson will be arriving in three days time and things had worsened between me and Alex. He would make me do thorough cleaning everyday and upon that my pay was reduced to thirty percent.

When Alex's parents had arrived, Alex pretended to care about me. He told me not to do any work at all, he even paid for my granny's hospital bills and my college fee too but I knew that it was just a calm before the storm.

Two days left before my horror reality starts. I wish I could say a nightmare but it is a reality. Avery, me and Alice Alex's mom are just picking up the last of the stuff needed. Most of the preparations were done by Alice. The rings were chosen by Alex and I had no say in it at all.

After that we went back and Avery said her goodbyes. She was my maid of honor. When I told Chace about it he was mad at first but I managed to calm him now he has come to terms with it.

I went into the cottage house and saw my granny knitting something that looked like a woolen hat. After that confession that grandma did I was upset at first but I can't stay mad at her forever. I mean she is the only one I had, she raised me besides I love her and I'm sure she had good intentions for this. I didn't want her to get sick again since she was now well.
