Prologue
"Take care." The driver said before closing the door of the taxi.
I waved my hand goodbye as I watched the taxi drove back to the city.
I heaved a long and deep sigh, preventing myself to vomit. The drive from city to here is quite a troublesome, the road is plumb and bumpy, it made me dizzy. Well, what do I expect on a way to mountain? This place here is on the top of a mountain.
When the taxi's gone from my sight, I look at the mansion that I'll be staying for the meantime. This is the house of my grandparents.
A huge mansion.. even from the outside, I could already feel the historical vibe coming from this mansion. But not really, because my grandparents are actually a scientist, it just looks so old, that's why. I don't know what they're reaserching in particular.. but I don't truly mind, I have no interest in any science-related stuff.
I was only wearing a violet fitted sweater, black legging, and black boots. I wore off my headphone and just look around at the area for a minute or so. If only I didn't know for a fact that my grandparent lives here, I would definitely think that no one lives in this place. Abandoned mansion, something along the line.
I pulled my luggage with me and entered the house—crap that, it's a mansion, I almost forgot. The moment I pushed the door open, I coughed really hard to death as the dust welcomed me the first time I stepped inside.
"What's with the thick dust?" I whispered to my self. Next thing I knew, I was sneezing non-stop.
What the heck?
After the dramatic entrance— mind the sarcasm, I look around a bit.. only to see weird things.
Again, what the heck?
There's this weird tiny little bug with a different color put on a glass board. Not only bug but different types of other creature that I never knew existed.
I left my luggage near at the front door because it's heavy, continuously pulling it while looking around would be a pain.
I went to the room that was near to me. The whole house looks exactly the same when I left it last summer, except that the things were more messy and it seem to me like they are researching a lot.
When I arrived at the kitchen, I am not shocked anymore the moment I saw the huge pile of unwashed dishes.
Just.. how could they live in here?
I was here for three days last summer, that was the first time I went here. In that three days, a lot of things happened. Well, for me it is. But to my grandparents, it's just another normal research day.
Three days and I spent it cleaning the mansion, I didn't even get to finish cleaning the whole.. because from time to time there will be a sound of explosion, shattering of glasses, and a lot more noises that needs rescuing.
I swear to my self that time that I won't ever go back here because I couldn't take it, my body throbs in pain at the end of the day.
There's just a circumstances that made me go back here. That dream..
I heard a not-so-loud explosion coming from the other room so I went there. I was supposed to be shocked but I'm just so use to this that I can't at least act that I'm shocked.
I went there and I saw my grandma recklessly mixing some chemicals, her hair was so frizzy and long.
"Woah, I can't believe this. The whole room is a mess." I said in disbelief.
