Chapter 2: That day part 1

I had been living with the Jaeger family for about a year with it being for the most part peaceful besides to having to beat up some bullies who would mess with Eren and our friend Armin, who was a frail boy who was really into books and learning about things nobody else questioned. But one day..that peaceful life I had been living changed forever..

(Your POV)

Today was just a normal day for me with me and Mikasa collecting firewood while Eren just slept..

"Hey Eren if you don't wake up I'll perform my infamous elbow drop!" I laughed as I flexed my arm

He still didn't wake up however..he wasn't always a deep sleeper so this was a little strange

Mikasa was also staring at Eren mostly because he wasn't picking up any firewood. Geez, we're gonna have to do extra for him now. He's lucky we love him..

Just as we were about to attempt to wake him up again, he sprung up in a panic surprising both myself and Mikasa in the process

"Hey man. You alright?" I looked at him with concern

"Yeah..I just had a strange dream.." Eren answered before tears started coming down his eyes

"Eren. You're crying." Mikasa pointed out as Eren began wiping his tears

"Well we don't have much time to try to figure it out. You're lucky I did extra for you so let's head out." I helped Eren up and we began walking home

As we were walking, Mikasa kept asking Eren about why he was crying earlier as I just said nothing and listened. It could be similar to the dreams I have where I see memories of former warhammer titans and former beast titans. There was a flying titan before..my titan feels like an animal too..like the first time I transformed was just the beta..must have to with me digesting Mr Zeke's spinal fluid

"What are you crying about Eren?" We all heard as the three of us looked ahead to see soldiers from the garrison regiment, drunkenly playing cards and not necessarily caring about their duties as soldiers. Personally, I could care less but Eren..well..

"Hi Mr Hannes"

"Did Mikasa get mad at him?" Mr Hannes, their leader of some sorts asked

"Why would that make me cry!? You reek of alcohol!" Eren answered getting mad at the soldiers

"Looks like their drinking..again." I sighed before slightly smiling.

"You guys wanna join in?" He asked us for some reason...we're not even close to being of legal age and if being drunk makes me act like them then..heck no!

Eren got really mad and pretty much started saying what he always does. He always says what if we're caught off guard by the titans attacking..it always worries me the most because he's not wrong at all

At some point, Marley will send their warriors to retrieve both the Founding and the Warhammer..I just hope I'm ready for that day..I don't want my family to die. I could never live with myself if one of them died because I couldn't save them..
