    “So...I know it’s not ideal but um...it’s all I can afford…”

Momo avoided Mike and Charlie’s looks. She already knew the hotel room was dinghy but to have actual guests over made it worse somehow. There wasn’t anything she could do about it but it still bothered her. It was just...it kind of hurt in a way.

“It’s alright...I just want to go to sleep, to be honest…”

The young man lowered himself onto what the hotel considered a couch and fell asleep almost instantly leaving Charlie and Momo alone. Neither spoke for a solid minute. What was there to even talk about, to begin with? The day was utter madness and any topic of conversation seemed...pointless.

“So...Mike’s informed me of some stuff that you’ve said…”

The words came out of her mouth before she really processed them. Mike DID mention Charlie had been saying some things recently but he never really said quite what was up with it. It was really vague and just that things were said but nothing else.

“O-oh...I...I just...Everything that’s happened to me has decided it wants to get into my head and just ruin everything. I didn’t mean anything of it...I just needed to find a way to escape it all…”

“I understand dear. The world has not been kind to you but some of the best people suffer the most...Though I’m not sure about myself because just look around...this is what my life has turned to...At least Sam’s actually nice. Between me and you, I think he’s actually trying to revive Fredbear’s in your father’s honor. I saw a post-it note hanging around his office and it mentioned reopening the diner. Not sure what the actual plan was but he’d do it for your father.”

The woman smiled slightly. Her words seemed to comfort her young guest slightly as Charlie’s shoulders dropped. It seemed they were on equal ground. Silence filled the room again but it wasn’t uncomfortable. In fact, it was peaceful though it didn’t last long.

    “Hey...you hear that?”

“Yeah...Wake Mike up...We may need to run.”

Momo looked to the door, slowly grabbing the taser she had been given by Sam and turned it on. The crackling of electrical current filled the room, almost drowning out the ringing noise that had invaded. No one spoke.

    “Hey, Momo? You here?”

Sam’s voice came from the other side of the door but it was obviously not him. The ringing was still there. Sure it may have sounded like his voice but that was a lie. It seemed that it was time for round three.

    “No? Alright…”

For a moment everything seemed to become muted. Even the taser was somehow silent but for only a moment.

The door cracked and started breaking apart. Whatever was on the other side wasn’t taking no for an answer tonight and it sure wasn’t a pizza guy. This was a horrible situation to be in as there was no escape other than the door and that was currently being broken down by something that no one wanted to see.

“Come on! What’s wrong? Seen a ghost?”

The door finally fell apart to reveal an almost perfect version of Sam but the eyes were wrong, the scars on his face were off. This was an attempt to show Sam but it wasn’t fooling her. It didn’t fool anyone in the room.

“How about you burn in hell. You’re no angel. Especially not mine.”

    “Fine. Have it your way.”

The ringing shifted in pitch and in the place of the fake Sam, some weird hybrid of a wolf and shadowy human silhouette with a blue eye and a white one. This was one of those weird creations of William’s.

“I’d rather we don’t fight. After all. Mike’s dad wants you all alive.”

“Funny. He sends a dog to get us. Go figure. How about you play dead?”

The wolf hybrid growled. It wasn’t one for jokes it seemed though...it was a machine. Trying to get it to think irrationally likely wasn’t going to work here. It was pretty slim that they’d escape since the thing was at least six foot tall and blocked the door like a brick wall.

    “Ok. Ok fine. Let’s just...let’s go…”

Mike finally walked up to the beast and stared up into its eyes. Either he wasn’t afraid or utterly terrified and just hid it super well.

“Mike. It's time for a family reunion. As for you two? Well, William compensated for that.”

Heavy footsteps filled the small room. It seemed the wolf had some friends.

“We should get going. After all, the police have been told to shoot on sight and...well human bodies are fragile things.”
