Joan made her way to her house, faking being sick. She went to the shared home with Cleo. Her drunk mother with the strange speech impediment and slurred speech gestured at Joan, a weird way of waving.

Joan nodded in response, heading up to their shared bedroom. Cleo wasn't home yet, instead she was off with Abe, in some activity. Joan sat on the bunk bed, the top one, sighing and opening her notebook. She had a black, leather bound notebook. She grabbed a pen from her bag and began writing

Confused ranting of a bisexual, not understanding her feelings. Cleo? Abe? Which one. Which one would she chase after? Did either even like her? She knew Abe didn't, but did Cleo?

Cleo was pondering along the same lines, walking along through the mall. Abe lagging behind, holding about 10 large bags.

"Hey Cleo, Uh, I love carrying your things and all, but could we maybe take a break?"
Abe's knees were wobbling as he walked along

"Not now Abe."
Cleo waved him off, continuing to walk

Which person would she let into her heart. JFK, although they'd been broken up for a few days. Abe, her boyfriend she didn't even fancy, just he was easy to use. Joan, someone she genuinely wanted to protect, and watch movies up to 4 am with. Do each other's makeup. Makeup..makeup!

Cleo walked quickly into a makeup store, Abe jogging behind. She picked out various makeup products, hair styling products and other things. A teasing comb even. She beckoned for Abe to follow as she made her way to the exit

Skip forward a bit because by god it'd be boring

Cleo walked in, then up the stairs. She beckoned Abe to set down the bags. He left, and Cleo sat on her bed. She waited for the sound of Abe closing the door. Cleo grinned up at Joan

"Soooo, I bought some stuff for you." She clapped her hands together, crossing her leg

"Huh? What kind of, 'stuff?'" She closed the diary, laying on her stomach to look down at Joan

"Makeup!" Cleo held up the makeup store bag with a grin

"Oh..I don't really wear makeup." Joan glanced aside, remembering their little spat over makeup.

"That's why I'll do it for you." Cleo chuckled, crawling up to Joan's bed. With a swift movement, Joan was laying on her back with Cleo sitting on her stomach

Cleo checked the color of foundation to Joans skin, before leaning in, gently pressing it into her skin with a sponge.

Joan could smell her perfume, brown sugar and vanilla. Her heart pounded in her chest, looking at Cleos lips and their brown lipstick

They made quick eye contact while Cleo was powdering her face, to which Joan quickly looked away, blushing. Thanks to the early 2000's foundation, her skin was barely visible under the makeup

Cleo chuckled at her reaction, applying a dark Cherry color to her lips. Joan looked, jarring. Pencil thin eyebrows, bright blue shimmery eyeshadow, black gel liner all around. For 2002, she. Looked. Amazing.

Joan gasped in the handheld mirror, wanting to not hurt Cleos feelings. Though, she exclaimed. "I look like a 50 cent hooker!"

"Sex worker, and you look cute." Cleo nodded. "Now be quiet, you smudged your lipstick." Cleo leaned in, holding the lipstick. Her heart pitter pattered as she hesitated, staring at Joan's lipstick

She pressed her lips to hers, closing her eyes and tipping her head slightly. With Joan taken off guard, her eyes widened, before they closed as she hugged Cleo closer. Cleo ran her fingers through Joan's hair. They made a new lipstick color, brown and cherry, and both were stained in other places then their lips...

Cleo wearing one of Joans baggy hand t shirts, for some random band, stood in the mirror, wiping off her lipstick. Her small fold phone began to ring. Checking caller ID.. Abe. For once, she didn't answer, just wiping off her lipstick

Joan couldn't believe it, holding the blanket up over her chest in the bed, still slightly out of breath. Well, at least some guy at school didn't get to take her v card, but she felt, strange. She felt, almost gross. Cleo was dating Abe, and they'd done that.
