Shinsou wasn't sure what to do at this point. Denki Kaminari hadn't stopped bothering him since he told him he didn't want friends. It only makes it worse that midterms were coming up, and Aizawa had dragged him into helping Kaminari study.

It was Monday, it was late. He just wanted to go to his room, snuggle up under the blankets, put on some rain sounds, and proceed to stare at the white ceiling counting every bump until it was time to get up again.

But no. He couldn't do that.

Instead, he was here, sitting on a cold stool in the dorm kitchen, waiting on the electric idiot. It wasn't even that he despised Kaminari, it was actually the opposite. It hadn't annoyed him when he asked to be friends. Not like he was annoyed when he first met Midoriya.

Something about him made Shinsou not annoyed at his mere existence. So much so, that he'd considered taking Kaminari up on his offer to be his friend.

He hadn't. Not yet, anyway. Shinsou tried to tell himself 'not ever', but he knew he'd give in eventually.

"Hey- yo! Study bud-aye!" A voice sounded from the kitchen entrance, snapping the insomniac out of his thoughts. Speak- or rather, think- of the Pikachu and he shall appear! There, in the entryway, stood a very good-looking blond, with a strike of black hair, in an oversized hoodie that went past his hands.

     Damn. He's cute.

Shinsou's face became awfully red and he glanced away, turning his attention to the textbook in front of him.

Nope, nope, nope! Loud blondes cannot be my type! I shan't let it happen. Maybe I'm just so sleep-deprived that I'm starting to see things! Yes, must be it!

"I'm not your buddy, I'm here because Aizawa told me I had to be here." Shinsou said after a silent minute. Kaminari hummed in what may have been a sarcastic tone, Shinsou wouldn't know, he was too busy trying to shoo away the gay panic.

Kaminari sat down beside him. Like, right beside him. It was so close that if Shinsou were to move a centimeter to the side he'd touch arms with the blonde. Shinsou forced himself to calm down again, moving foreword to grab the textbook, flipping silently to the unit they were currently studying.

"Oh, shoot, what's that say?" Kaminari asked. Instead of waiting for Shinsou to respond, he reached his arms under Shinsou's, slowly tilting the book up and squinting.

Gay panic. Gay panic. Gay panic. I lied. Loud blondes are definitely my type.

Shinsou tried to keep his breathing and focus on anything but the fact that they were currently making contact, and that his hand was pretty close to Kaminari's. Just one shift and they'd be holding hands.

     Kaminari smiled.

     Oh. God. It's... So cute....

"Okay, I got it now- well I don't, but I know what it says right there!" Kaminari giggled innocently, letting go of the book. Shinsou had to stop himself from whining at the loss of contact, but he quickly got over it.

The blonde swiftly ducked under Shinsou's arm and moved his across the purple-haired boy's shoulders. He leaned into Shinsou's side like he hadn't given it any thought. Shinsou stiffened.

     AH?

Shinsou never thought he could get so worked up over someone like Kaminari. He was pretty sure he was already broken, but his system completely crashed as Kaminari laid his head on Shinsou's shoulder.

This was borderline cuddling. Wait, no, drop that, this was just cuddling. Did he do this with all of his friends? Was he unaware of just how gay Shinsou was? Shinsou thought it was pretty obvious. Did he not realize what he was doing?

Shinsou assured himself that Kaminari didn't know what he was doing and tried to gather himself.

Kaminari knew exactly what he was doing.

He'd gone over several different plans with Mina the day before. Plans C through H.

Don't ask what happened to A and B.

This was currently going with plan F. If he first pulls out a textbook, say you can't see it. Proceed to move closer. Swiftly close and much distance as possible, if you can, cuddle.

It was going great, but Kaminari had his own thoughts screaming in his ear. He knew the next steps were up to him, and that wasn't helping much. He really didn't think he'd get this far, but here he was.

'Cuddling Hitoshi Shinsou. In the kitchen. That's what I'm doing. Oh god.'

Kaminari pretended not to see Shinsou's reddened face and lack of function and moved his free arm across the front of his crush.

He thought he would wait for a reaction.

"Uh- um, well..." Shinsou paused. Denki laughed, "You good, hon'?"

     ...

     'What.'

     'Why did I say that?!'

Dead silence. Kaminari wasn't sure if he should say sorry or stick to the overly confident plan. He'd done plenty of stupid things before, but this may have been the stupidest.

Shinsou was possibly redder than Kirishima's hair dye, and he didn't know how to respond.

     "Uh... well... I'm...."

     ...

     "I'm fine!" Shinsou's voice cracked.

Kaminari turned red too. That was possibly the cutest thing ever. He giggled inwardly, "You're cute, Shinsou."

'WHY THE HELL DID I SAY THAT?'

"I- uh... no, you?" Shinsou countered. It was the first thing that came to mind.

     'Smooth, Shinsou, smooth.'

The two flustered teens looked at each other. They were much too close, but also, being much too close felt right. They were both more comfortable than they'd ever been at the moment, even if the encounter was awkward.

     They stared for a moment.

Kaminari stopped thinking rationally. Not like he had been before.

Quickly. It was a blur, really, but Kaminari remembered kissing Shinsou. The way it felt. Like he could ever forget.

Shinsou could remember only Kaminari rushing forward and suddenly feeling like he was in paradise.

The rest of the night went by so fast in their memories that the next hours of cuddling and kissing with the occasional compliment blended together.

Needless to say, the textbook was long forgotten.

Mina could confirm that. After all, she'd been hiding in the cupboard the entire time, taking pictures and videos.

     Obviously.
