Juliet's POV

"Okay everybody, on the bus now!" Co-coach Stevens interrupts everyone's conversations as we all climb into the bus.

"Uh, uh, uh. Bela, what are you doing here?" He stops me as I make my way to the bus.

"Coming along Stevens. Why, is there a problem?" I replied, as I raised an eyebrow.

"No problem, unless you're going to start one with Dunbar."

"Dun who?"

He shook his head, "Just get on the bus Bela. Don't make me call your dad."

I gave him a mock salute and quickly sat next to Brett.

"We're gonna make him pay." Damien, our goalie announces. "After what he did to Coach's car, it's a wonder why he isn't already in hospital." He gives me a pointed look.

"My dad told me not to get involved. But since he's not here, we can cause Dunbar as much pain as we'd like." I shrugged.

"What about Stevens?" AJ, one of the players ask. "He's always had a soft spot for little Liam."

I chuckled at the nickname. "Don't worry about him. With a few threats, he'll sit back and just watch the show."

Kyle gives me a weird look. "Do you know how sadistic you sound?" He jokingly asks as the boys laugh.

I just give him a smile as Brett puts his arm around my shoulders. "That's my girl."

We finally arrive at Beacon Hills High School and there is already a crowd around us. The boys stepped out of the bus, with Brett in front of me. The crowd was buzzing with conversation but immediately went quiet after a boy shouts Brett's name. I walked out of the bus in time to see Liam standing opposite Brett.

He looked shocked to see me but quickly recovered. "Juliet."

I stared at him with no flicker of emotion on my face. "Liam."

He was breathing heavily as he looked at Brett. "I just wanted to say... Have a good game."

The team stared at Liam as Brett started to laugh. "That's cute Liam. Is that what they told you to say in Anger Management? Apologize and everything's fine? You demolished Coach's car."

Liam looked down and glared at the ground. "I paid for it."

I decided to step in. "Yeah, you're going to pay for it. After what you did to my father's car, don't think you can get away with it. You're going to die out there Liam. And it's because you deserve it. You have no idea what shit we had to go through to fix that car. Watch your back Dunbar."

His jaw clenched and before anyone else could make a comment, two boys rushed over to Liam. A skinny, pale boy stood in front of me with a big smile.

"How's it going prep students? Welcome to our little public high school. How you doing? Stiles," He says as he holds out his hand. When no one shakes it, he retracts his arm back. "That's a firm handshake you got there." No one in the team cracks a smile or even looks slightly amused. He must have got the memo because he looked nervous.

"Uh, we're very excited for the scrimmage tonight. Uh, but let's keep it clean, all right? No rough stuff out there... All right, see you on the field." He finishes and without a second glance, the two boys drag Liam away.

I scoff at what he says. "He deserves everything he gets." Kyle says as the team nods in agreement.

As a man in a suit makes his way to us, the crowd splits up.

"Hello students of Devenford Prep. Welcome to Beacon Hills High School. I am Principal Thomas." He smiles.

Stevens makes his way to the front. "I'm their guardian, co-coach Stevens. Thank you for having us."

Principal Thomas looks at the team and sets his eyes on me. "Everyone here plays?" He asks.

I stare at him. "Yes." I say in a flat tone. I may not play in the team, but I do play lacrosse.

Stevens gives me a look. "No, Juliet here is the daughter of the coach, and a friend to the team."

Principal Thomas gives Stevens an uncomfortable smile. "Of course," He replies, "Follow me."
