Marinette POV:

A pang of guilt struck me as I looked into Luka's eyes. He looked so happy, I didn't know how I was supposed to tell him. I felt a little nudge from my bag. Tikki was obviously telling me to say it. Taking a deep breath in, I spoke.

'Luka, I don't mean this in any way to hurt you, but I love you, I really do. But as a friend. I don't think I can go further.' I said, letting out a small sigh of relief once I got it out.

Luka's smile instantly turned into a frown as he looked away, hiding it.

'Is it Adrien?' Luka said, scowling.

'Marinette in trouble with Luka- Alley.' I read aloud.

Panicked, I sprang up, leaping across, trying to find her. I could hear a scream in a distance and I leapt to find her. I could see Luka down and I was wondering if they were both ok. To my surprise, I saw Luka forcing himself onto Marinette, pure menace and fury boiling in me as I leapt down, grabbed him and threw him against the wall, injuring himself. I walked up to him and punched him, beating him up.

'CATACLYSM!' I screamed, almost destroying him before I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder.

'D-don't, chat, he's drunk. You're better than this kitty.' Marinette whispered.

I turned around to look at her, cupping her face gently, wiping her tears. Seeing her in pain hurt me so bad. I pulled her close to me in a hug, kissing her hair softly.

Marinette POV:

Chat pulled me into his arms and kissed my hair. My entire body was so sore, yet when I was in his arms, I only felt warmth and safety. Breaking our embrace, Chat grabbed Luka by the throat, throwing him onto the road.

'Someone will find him and call and ambulance. I'm not wasting my energy on him.' Chat said, lifing me up and taking me to my home.
