There was a nocking on my door. "Master Joel it's time to get up."
"I'm up I'm just getting dressed."
I called back.I had just finished brushing my teeth and was now trying to tame my mane of curls on my head.
I just ended up throwing my hair in a pony tail and leaving out my room.
People were rushing around sense my grandparents and parents had decided to hold a meeting. It wasn't always this way my grandpa had once told me.
Before we had these human like forms we were once huge beast like from the stories, but than one day we decided it was best if we blended in with the humans so that we could coexist so we evolved into these forms and were unable to return to our previous forms.
Little did we know that with these new forms came much more power. My grandfather is one of the originals, he was once a huge beast. He remembers all the things that have come and past in his extremely long lifetime along with my grandmother. They may be extremely old but they look to be in there 30s.
I walked to into the room where the meeting was being held. My mother and father and my grandparents were on the stage getting ready to begin.
"Good your here come up so we can start the meeting." my mother said.
I walked to the front and sat in the chair next to my grandfather.
"Where's your shoes?"
"Umm I think there in my room."
he let out a deep chuckle "I know that I mean why aren't they on your feet."
"I don't like shoes I rather walk barefooted they feel unnatural.""Alright quiet down the meeting is now in cession."
My mom stood up and walked to the front of the stage.
"As you all know our clan is looked as one of the top 3 pure bloods left and along with that comes many people who wish to be in out good graces. Yet our clan has been labeled as one of the most secretive & difficult to get a hold off and I think it's time that has been changed. Its been more than 200 years sense any off us have spoken with anyone from outside the clan."My father stood up and walked to the from next to her.
"The time has come for our clan to reach out and build a relationship with our fellow dragons." dad said
"And that's why I've decided to send Joel to the the academy for those like us." mom said
"WHAT!!" There was a loud out roar including from my dad.
"You didn't tell me about this!"
"Well I just did and it's best for him to go out into the real word and experience people outside our clan. He's 200 we stopped all contact with the outside world to protect him and I think we went overboard. He's not a baby we can't keep him here forever.""Yess we can what are you talking about! He has everything he need here. There's no need for him to leave here."
i looked to my grandfather who was laughing as if it was a reality tv show.
"He really is crazy if he thinks I'm going to stay here forever."
I said to my grandfather who was still chuckling.
"He's just looking out for you. You know how important you are to your father." said my grandmother
In the background I could still hear my mother and father arguing."He doesn't want to stay here his whole life and he's not going to! Your acting like he's your prisoner!"
"If he try's to leave he will be!! We'll get him a cage put it in our room!"
As he said this his eyes glowed a deep red and his teeth began to elongate. My grandfather bursted into laughter again while I just watched at how crazy my father was while rubbing my temples.
"im going to the back I'll see you guys later I'm getting stressed out" I said while walking out.
I thought about going for a flight but if my father saw me he would probably think it's some kind of escape plan and tackle me down.
I love my father more than anything it's just he can be so crazy sometimes.
I walked into my room and decided to go back to sleep and wait till everything calmed down outside
