"Chrollo!" My voice called out, panicked, and despairing. However, my body attempted to sit up and was rejected by the chains that held me hostage, restraining my body to a lying down position. I quivered at the thought of the nightmare that occurred moments before I'd awaken from my restless sleep, pushing my body upwards to a sitting position. My eyes widening, peering around, this place was new, the thought formulated into my intellect- the velocity of my breathing accelerated in a frail panic to the unfamiliar setting. My orbs were darting around each region, venturing to inspect the unusual space. I was shackled to a bed instead of walls; although it wasn't entirely pitch dark, the room dimly illuminated, candles supplying the exclusive source of light. The inflection of footsteps waltzed within my eardrums; by sight, my optics instantly shifted crimson. It was the Troupe leader. I perched still in position, not budging an inch, working to constrain myself from going off.
Once the Spider Stood by the side of the bed, he began to examine me., setting the book he carried within his blazer pouch, inspecting my body. He appeared airily displeased by my condition. I knew I wasn't in the most solid of health; nevertheless, I could sense several bones broken, as well as faded and dry blood painting my body.
"Look who's awake," He grinned to himself, uttering monotonously to me.
"How did you sleep?" Chrollo queried, studying into my eyes. His form was reserved, displaying limited reactions. I squeezed my lips sealed, not aspiring to answer to the more grown male.
"Have you considered my proposition?" Chrollo asked, his figure towering above mine, evoking how cynical I am. These chains were constricting me down. He was beginning to infuriate me. Nonetheless, merely his very presence held enough to drive me over the edge.
"No." I conversed, my pitch firm, though enervated; "And I will never associate with you, Chrollo." I concluded my decision and maintained silent- I possessed no intention of furthering the conversation with the Spider and resume growing visibly more vexed by the second.
"That's a shame." The leader responded, subtly shaking his head. I could perceive that he'd been anticipating that statement from me. I shut my lamps, averting my attention from the older male. After a suspension of taciturnity, a rhythm of gentle, rapid thumps grouped against the door. My gaze peeked to the entrance, curious about who stood behind it. I felt a little unsettled, yet I am not disturbed with myself for feeling that way- Afterall, they performed, many days- perhaps even weeks of torture on me; however, it remains something I wouldn't confess to them.
"You may enter." The leader, addressing who was at the door, his tone of patience. With that, the door squeaked apart as a woman made her path inside the confined chamber; it was Machi. I scrutinized each step the woman made, advancing towards us, I planned to perceive every word she'd spout. Before to Machi again, I glimpsed toward Chrollo, striving to accumulate any insight of context splayed on their features, by little odds that either would. I wonder what she came for, I reflected.
"Are you ready yet, boss?" The woman queried her boss, her gaze established steadily to my optics. Her mood was glacial; her appearance was like marble. My eyes somewhat expanded at the sudden, hate-filled stare gaping within my orbs. Her aura reeked of exasperation; I could perceive she didn't desire to remain here, reasonably, just as much as I didn't. "Not quite." Her leader articulated as a response, his pitch calm and soothing while conversing with her. Must have he picked up her rancid aura?
Perhaps, he was ignoring it?
I sat still when the recognition hit. While my eyes reflected a more deep hue of scarlet, my lamps widened, prepared, for?- the idea developed into my intellect.
