Chapter 1: Last Day, Breakfast & a Thousand dollars

Ana's POV:

I was in the middle of my beautiful dream when suddenly I heard a loud ringing that won't stop and every second past, it keeps getting louder and louder. I have no other choice but to woke up and abandon my beautiful dream. Maybe tonight I can continue it, hopefully.

The second I sat up on my bed, I regret sleeping late, like 2 am in the morning watching movies. But it's worth it and maybe I will keep doing it because this is the last day of school. Last day of being a sophomore student, and by the end of the day, I can do whatever I wanted.

Thinking of that idea makes me happy and excited and it became the source of reason why I should stand up, take a shower, and get dressed for school. It took 20 minutes to finish my concert-like shower and another 10 minutes to get dressed. By then, I go downstairs to eat breakfast.

"Good Morning Mom!" I greeted my mom and kiss her cheek the minute I step inside of the kitchen and then I find a place to sit.

"Good Morning honey! Why so early today?" My mom ask. I just gave her a wide smile and said " nothing " with a shrug. My mom then gave me a YOU-HAVE-TO-TELL-ME Look.

"It's the last day of school mom, remember?" I ask her then I gave her a smile. She reply me an "okay" and handed me a plate of eggs, bacons, and bread.

I thank her and began eating with her. We talk and eat for the whole 15 minutes and after that, I wash the dishes. But my mom told me, "No honey, I got it." She dismisses me but I refuse. "No mom, I've got it. I've got an hour mom to kill before school." And I continue to wash the plates. My mom gave me an okay smile and went off to her room and get ready for her work.

My mom is an attorney so she is busy all the time. But she has time for me as well. She got a pack schedule. There's a hearing here and there and cases to win. She is one of the "Elite" attorney of the city and I am so proud of it. By the time I finish washing the plates, she's also finished changing her clothes and get ready to work.

"Honey, I'm going now. Do you need anything?" She ask me. I went to the front door where she's standing and ask her, "Mom, can I ask for some money? I'm going to the mall, buy some stuff later after school, if it's okay?" Then she gave me smile and handed me a thousand dollar. My eyes went wide and I double check it if it is really a thousand dollar.

My mom just laugh at my reaction and she told me, "That is for waking up early, washing the dishes, the last day of school and for the case that my team won yesterday." She then gave me a hug and kisses my cheeks and went to work.

And I, standing here by the door still can't believe that my mom gave me a thousand dollars for shopping. Our front door opened again and my mom told me,"and don't be late for dinner, okay?" I gave her a very wide smile and said, "okay mom. And thank you for this." I waved her the money and she reply "No problem. I should get going." And by that, she's now gone to work.

I went to the living room and sat on the couch and eyeing again the money and thinking of what should I buy later. Maybe some blouses and shoes. I check the clock and it displayed 7:15AM. So I got 45 minutes left before school. So I watch TV. Checking the time again, now it shows 7:45AM, so I grab my stuff, bag and phone and went downstairs. I turn off the TV and went to the kitchen to grab something to eat along the way to school. It's just a 10 minute walk from here to school. After that, I storm out of the house and began my journey towards school.
