Past: We came to a halt in front of his house. It was like a mansion except he was no where wealthy and had used his parents' money to get it.

"Please Gia, behave." I didn't say anything. If she was gonna be like this, so would I.

I got out and stood there, forced to walk up to the steps, I saw Alfreda knocking on the door. I was scared, no scratch that, frightened. He wasn't the exact type of guy that I'd like to go hang out with, or be near. Come to think of it.. how did he meet my sister?

My thoughts were interrupted by the door, opening to reveal an angry Derek.

"Hey.." she spoke so lightly I could hear the snails slithering.

"Hey, come on in, kiddo." he said looking down at me, I obeyed and walked in, I heard their constant remarks, then him slamming the door.

"Make yourself at home. You want beer? Pizza?" I shook my head. He only rolled his eyes and walked who knows where leaving me alone. I quietly knew where I had to go, my temporarily room.

I wasn't new to the house, my sister and I have slept over a bunch of times, and I've always gotten my temporarily room, it's not like he made me sleep on the couch.

Quickly closing the door, I imagined what it'd be like to have a mother and father. I wouldn't be in this mess, and I certainly wouldn't meet Derek. I wonder why they left, was there something wrong with me? My sister? Us? What exactly drove them away?

"Yo, Gia!" I was startled and quickly opened the door to reveal Derek and his friends behind him. Great.

"We're gonna be out, stay in your room, and don't open the door to strangers." I nodded, and closed the door, hearing them run down the stairs. I sighed and grabbed a note book and went out into the balcony. I sat there with the sun hitting my back, doodling whatever I could think of, but instantly I noticed that I was drawing a girl, a father, a mother, and a older girl.

"Aren't you too old to be doodling parents with children?" I looked up and saw a boy, he had bleached blonde hair, and crystal clear blue eyes, his accent was thick, European maybe. He wore black jeans and a brown t-shirt.

"Oh.. hah, I'm just drawing whatever." he nodded and scrunched his eye brows together.

"I didn't know Derek had a sister?" He questioned, I stood up and leaned on the balcony.

"He doesn't, I'm Gia, sister of the girl that Derek is dating." He smiled and nodded.

"Makes sense, I'm Niall, I'm Derek's next door neighbor, as you can tell I don't stand Derek." I nodded, every time he said Derek his face would twist, he didn't like Derek.

"Me either, I don't know why my sister is dating him." He nodded.

"Me either, I wouldn't lower my standards if I were you." he quietly said, which confused me.

"Trust me, I won't." he smiled, and didn't say anything but look at me.

"Niall!" He looked behind, then at me and frowned.

"I've gotta go, I'll talk to you later." I nodded and with that he and I went our ways.

I liked that Niall guy, he sure was the best part of coming here so far. I sat down in my bed, and dozed off into a deep sleep.

Ok so I introduced Niall in this chapter 😁✌️ yay.
