Spencer Reid Oneshots

Are you free?

I saw a thing that had this so I wanted to change it up a little bit but also this may be short :)

You and the group just finished briefing a new case and were standing around waiting for Hotch to give the signal to head to the jet. "Emily, she hasn't moved the page for 10 minutes! Somethings wrong." JJ said as she and Emily were staring at you blankly looking at a book. "That is weird, she reads almost as fast as Reid. I wonder if it's because of that over there?" Emily pointed to Spencer and Elle talking, Elle standing weirdly close to him and touching his forearm or shoulder every chance she gets. "She's doing that flirty fake laugh too. I bet it's killing y/n." JJ and Emily shook their head which caught Spencer's attention.

Spencer stood uncomfortably by Elle nodding along to whatever she was saying. His attention was mainly on you. Staring at a book while your mind is somewhere else, and not in a happy place.

On the jet Emily and JJ were trying to make small talk to you to get your attention elsewhere. "So then Will pulls up to this really romantic place and I start getting giddy but then he points to this run down bar next door." She looks at you and notices the pure agitation on your face. "A-and uh, in the end he joked about the run down bar and actually took me to the fancy place."

"Uh huh..." you nodded while looking out the window. Emily leaned over to you and whispered. "Okay y/n you can't just keep staring at him or listening it's only going to make you more pissed. He obviously does not like the attention she's giving him." You looked at her then at Spencer, who was currently staring at a book page while Elle was talking about some old colleague from training. "You're right but. Why not tell her?"

The case was a very short one. You got back home the next day making the group want to go out and celebrate. Elle was standing right by Spencer trying to link her arm around his. Penelope tried to stay out as long as she could but watching you basically fuming, she had to step in. She walked straight to Spencer and grabbed him by his arm. "Elle that's a great story but I have to steal Spence for a minute!"

Spencer looked confused but was thanking her in his head continuously. She clicked her heels your way, stopping your conversation with Emily and JJ midway. "Hey y/n, are you free tonight?" You looked at Penelope confused but answered. "Uh, i guess not. I was going to stay hom-" "Are you free tonight Spencer?" He looked at her equally confused. "No. Why, are you wanting to go drink?" Penelope smiled and clapped her hands together.

"Great! Because yes genius, I am busy with Emily and JJ, but since you two are free. Enjoy your date. Here's your bags. Go." She handed Spencer his shoulder bag and you your purse and started shoving you two towards the elevator.

"There's a great restaurant that just opened and lucky for you I have a table waiting for you with a good red wine that you better not waste." You looked at her before the elevator opened. She gave you a hug and whispered. "You're welcome." After she pulled away she turned to Spencer. "Don't hurt her and have her home by 10! Now go have fun kiddos!"
