Dear Dad, April 25, 2020-Monday

It's been two years since your untimely death, and two years since I entered the not-so-wonderful teenage world. You know, people keep telling me that writing to a dead man makes me look crazy, but I don't care. If you remember, which you most likely don't, I am a rather intelligent individual. But, even I need to have something to believe in, no matter whether it is possible or not. I never got to talk to you much, with you being on call at the hospital and all, but I would like to have been able to say "I love you" more than I had. So, until next we speak, I love you.

I put my notebook down and continued my bus ride. I suppose now would be a good time to tell you who I am; My name is Haydyn Lord, I have an IQ of 260, I am a senior at Lincoln Memorial Highschool, and I'm 16-years-old. I know, "How are you a senior at 16?" Well, like I said before; I have a very high intelligence level. I don't have many friends, but my best friend is my old freshmen math teacher, Mr.Galiazzo. He also has to play the role of counselor on occasion. Oh, we just got to school, I have to get off.

I walked through the long hallways of the school, making my way to Mr.Galliazzo's classroom. Since he doesn't have a first period class and I have a free class, I hang out here with him. We talk about any and everything, but there is a lot of talk about anime. I walk into the classroom, and sit next to Mr.G.

"Hello, Mr.G." I greeted him.

"Oh! Hello, Hayden, how was your weekend?" He asked me.

"It was good. My mom had Sunday off, so we went to dad's grave. She let me sit there for an hour and read last week's notes to him." I replied.

"How sweet!" He exclaimed. For the next 47 minutes, we talked about my dad, my letters, and Mr.G told me he started to write notes to his late mother. Once the bell rang, I went to my math class. I don't really remember what I did all day, since I was mostly thinking about my dad.
