Chapter 1 : The Rich Yet Humble Girl

CHAPTER 1

[Coleen's POV]

It was a cold, Monday morning. It was the first day of school today. I woke up early around 5 a.m. I fixed myself then I went down to eat breakfast. Eomma and Appa were already at the dining room. I greeted them with a bright smile.

"Morning Eomma, Appa." I said and smiled.

"Good morning dearie... come, sit! Mrs. Lee is still preparing our food so let's wait." Eomma said. I just nod at her then I take my seat.

After 5 minutes, Mrs. Lee came in with the other maids, serving all the delicious food they have cooked.

"Yum! Let's eat!" I excitedly said then as I was about to get my favorite food, Eomma hit my hand.

"Ouch! Aigoo.. Eomma, what was that for?" I asked while I was holding my hand that Eomma hit.

"Yah! You're already planning to eat without your brother?" Eomma scolded me. Aigoo. Where is Suho oppa by the way? Is he still sleeping?

"Mrs. Lee, please check Suho if he is still on his room." Eomma ordered Mrs. Lee. "And if he's still asleep, PLEASE DO WAKE HIM UP!!!" Eomma added. I let out a small laugh.

Seconds later....

"EOMMAAAAA!!!" I heard Suho oppa shout as he was rushing to go downstairs.

"Yah! Are you out of your mind Suho? Why are you making such loud noises this early? Aish!" Appa said while hitting Suho oppa in the head.

"Ahh! Appa!!! Mianhaeyo!!!" Suho oppa cried.

"That's enough Appa!" I stopped Appa from hitting Suho oppa in the head. Aigoo. Poor oppa.

"Next time don't be so noisy, especially at this early! Arasseo?" Appa scolded Suho oppa.

"Ne Appa, Mianhae.." Suho oppa said.

"Aish! Enough of this! It's such a good day! So let's eat!" Eomma said then afterwards we started to eat.

After eating.. we bid Eomma and Appa our goodbyes. They also had work to do, while me and Suho oppa attended Kingdom High School. I'm already in 2nd year high school, while Suho oppa is in 4th year high school. Appa is the CEO of Kingdom Group of Companies (which consists of Kingdom High School, Kingdom Academy, Kingdom Hotel and Kingdom Entertainment) while Eomma helps Appa as the chairwoman of both Kingdom Hotel and Kingdom Entertainment.

Our driver drove us all the way to the school. After 15 minutes, we reached Kingdom High School. Right after me and Suho oppa stepped out of the car, he immediately said 'goodbye' and before I could even say anything, he quickly ran to his group of friends. Great! He just left me! -___-

I walked towards the school building and into the hallway. I went to my locker to get the books and notes I needed for my classes today. To my surprise, I saw a note slipped into the door of my locker. I took it and began to read it. Hmm.. I wonder where did this come from?

I'm your classmate for this school year! Isn't it amazing? Hahaha! I get to see you again. See you In class!

Aww. Tristan, really. He never fails to make me smile. :)

But FYI! HE IS NOT MY BOYFRIEND! XD

He's my childhood bestfriend. His family runs one of the largest hotel businesses in Korea, which is why his family and my family got close and became friends.

*kring!! kring!! kring!!

It was time for my first class. I quickly grabbed my books and notes and immediately went to my classroom.

I did see Tristan. He really is my classmate (and also seatmate!)

"COLEEN!!!!!!" Tristan stood up from his chair and ran towards me. Then guess what?

HE HUGGED ME!

I felt myself blush. =^___^=

"Yah! I missed you so much!" Tristan said, still hugging me tight.

"Yah! I can't breathe!!" I said, pretending that I can't breathe. He immediately let go of the hug.

"Yah, gwenchanayo?" He suddenly turned concerned while asking me.

"Ne, em fine." I said then I took my seat.

After a few minutes, the bell rang. Class is about to start. Our adviser then introduced herself as Mrs. Han. We proceeded with the introductions. I simply introduced myself, but what really got my attention was my classmate who introduced after me.

"Annyeong haseyo! Renxel Yoon imnida!" my classmate said. He bowed, smiling.

I find him cute though. ^__^
